Thanks everyone for a great weekend. Tons of fun! :clap:clap

I can proudly say that the Scooby Gang did 100% of the small bike route and had "first dust" or "first mud" (easy to see in the mud when you make the only tracks) on quite a few sections. It was one hell of a work-out breaking and making bridges on the "yeah should be no problem" section right after the free beer waypoint on day 2. :dirtdog:jack

Didn't take many pics but here are a few.

    Day 1,

Old Hastings road. Rest in peace Rob Harris

A little time out at the Old Trapper and first small crossing of the day.

Time out at Grannit or Marble lake? don't remember. Just after the awesome technical section for the small bikes. Regret not taking pics of the decent in the ravine. Maybe the other guys will have some or team Tow Ropes.

Day 2, funny I only took 1 picture, this is in the last bit of the small bike route after the free beer.

2 buddies got across no problem and another team ahead of us (we found out later) but not me. the first board broke and the front wheel pushed the "bridge" out of the ditch (or whatever you wana call it)

Once I was rescued from my hole, 3 bike came to us in the opposite direction. Told us that it was un-passable, 20 foot gap and floating plank bridge, don't go there, twilight zone... :grim they were going to find another way out. We said we would go and see for ourselves and for sure we came to what looked more like a canal. There was enough lumber floating around and 2 narrow ladder style ramps. With the help of another team that had caught up to us (tricked out Honda with cats eyes head lights and a KTM?) we managed to put the ramps side-by-side in the narrowest portion of the canal and got a nice bridge across :clap That water was 4 feet deep as my buddy Patrick fell in while building the bridge. Sorry, no pictures was too exhausted and happy to have made it across.

    Camping at Rideau

Day 3 Almost at the start of second GPS section. The sign said DRY trail to the right and WET trail straight ahead. We all know where the GPS track sent us :deal and we know we were the first ones through as there were no recent tire tracks.

    That was a work-out...:knary

Success! mission accomplished and thank god we had the weather on our side (minus the heat). Had it been raining it would have been a totally different story.

Once more, thanks for putting on this event, had a blast, awesome meeting so many nice people. Will definitely come back next year if it fits the schedule.

    Merci!

    Good morning Ivan!

I was with the team [Adv Plus] that tried to convince you to turn around.. we had no Army Corps of Engineers with us [one WR, 2 x 500 EXC] and one of us was quite tired.. nevertheless - we went in full mud and back the first three 'look-there-is-green-grass-and-some-flowers-a-bit-bumpy-but-doab...MUD-canals.OK' sections. I hope someone got hiccups.

    I'll post my links/photos soon'ish.

    Cheers,
Bogdan [/Alex] - Team Adventure Plus

Hey Bogdan! Was good to meet you guys.

You did the good decision considering your situation, kinda noticed that one of your guys was giving the cut-throat sign as is in "I'm done get me the hell out of here".

We didn't have the army corps either, just more stubborn and/or stupid (well one teammate in particular) and we also got some extra manpower a bit later.

Looking forward to seeing your pics, I think everyone had an adventure this weekend!

    Cheers!

    Ivan

Here is some stuff from Day 1 and Day 2... Including the lovely waterfall at the end of day 1.

Had an incident where one of the bikes got flooded at that waterhole aproape posted above, so called off the remainder of the ride - diverted to the nearest town and flushed 12 litres of cheap oil through that little engine... Still had to make our way back to TO on two wheels ;)
