Water levels are definitely lower than past years. Here is one spot for comparison.

Totally doable on 950/990, did it 4 years in a row. Just put a good rear knobby to not get stock and an aggressive front knobby to live.

I actually think 9x0 on small bike route would be more lots of fun. But hey I'm going to try the small bike this year, just because I got it a month ago. Excited!

Medical face mask works great for dust. Works with dual sport or dirt bike helmets.

Those pics are getting me excited Jimmy. I rode some of the route a couple weekends ago too and Yes, quite dry in general, but some low spots only get so dry though, got off track crossing the one in your picture here and it was up to about airbox level very quickly... eeeeesh! Can't wait!

    Hey Darren!

With this particular one it's not so much the depth...about knee deep at the deepest spot, but it's the hidden obstacles. There are some fair sized boulders that will be lurking under the muddy water! :evil

Those will be important things to have. Might have a Scotts damper to install, some aux lights to set up and wire and beer to drink...so what do you have going on Sunday?

By chance, is anyone passing through/near the GTA area en route to the rally with a spare spot on their trailer?
Would love to get a lift (one way only) and happy to pay gas + tip... :)
Please PM if you can help out!

I know one of the trucks said he'd be willing to haul a couple kit bags from Loon's to Rideau, Ted, Jim can I count on this? Were getting dropped off in Loons with camping gear and it would be hard to carry it on the little bikes. We travel light so not a huge amount a kit but myself. tattewell and 4mud will have a kit bag each.

There is no official gear transpo this year so, no you can't count on it.

However, there will be 25 or so overland trucks there this year...so you might be able to persuade one of them to help you out.

Weather forecast is looking idea at this point. A few light showers would be nice to keep the dust down...
