@sceep it's not showing for me. Just FYI
Well what the heck!?
That looks like the big solar farm between Deming and Hatch NM
Will toss a hint in the morning if it hasn't been claimed.
San Luis Valley, CO?
Alamosa Solar Generating Project
.... waiting for confirmation ...
It could be someplace else
Beat me to it.
Bingo! I got bored on the way home from the COBDR and have been in the solar biz for 20 years. Saw it out there in the distance and took a little detour to go check it out. Impressive facility.
Take it away.
Name either trail.
Extra credit if you name the rider in yellow.
For many first-time visitors to the Salida/Sargents area, these are often the first trails they ride after discovering and riding the RBT.
FIRST HINT posted.
Monarch Crest to Agate?
You got it. Post up!
Billy Uhl visited Salida in October, 2008. He wanted to ride these trails because he'd heard so much about them. Wouldn't take no for an answer. After a few days of socializing with the locals, I took him out and showed him how we 'colorado'. He wasn't disappointed.
The trails were manageable, more or less. When we eventually reached Sargents, we decided to bag it and head back to Marshall Pass on Marshall Pass Road. The ride up to the pass was a fright. It was packed snow and ice, full width, and extremely icy on the dark northern-side sections. Like to never have made it.
Billy in another place on a warmer day....
An easy one...
Is there an ayers rock in the northern hemisphere? :)
It kind of looks like the Mt. Antero area.
A hint: a pretty popular spot... just taken from a unique angle. Some of you maybe have even gone to the top of that little peak in the background, but likely not in the past year or two as the approach is pretty much gone (well, maybe w/ the exception of the @enduro-ince).
now I'm definitely intrigued...lol. doesn't look familiar to me, I'm pretty sure I've never been there.
long shot... Engineer?
ah hah... I think you're right... taken from the overlook just before the official top of the pass coming from AF.
