Warner Valley Area?
Yessir! Take it!
I got nothing at the moment, someone else grab it.
Slightly outside the play area, but many will get it anyway.
I hope I haven’t posted this one before.
Give me the name of the overlook or the nearby guest ranch where I spent the previous night.
Headed that way next week to do the spurs.
Awesome!!!! Staying at that ranch? I'm planning a beer and maps afternoon at my place about that area soon
Just a guess... never ridden there but that looks a lot like the salt river.
No. It's a much more famous one.
Hint: I already admitted that this one is slightly outside of our play area per rules. Indeed the picture was taken exactly 58.6 miles south of the southern limit of the play area.
Between the 3 hints that should be an easy one, I won't spoil it since I don't have a picture at the moment.
Outside the play area..........Big Bend NP?
near the Vulcans throne? maybe farther down stream...
Ranch is closed until mid March, so no gas.
Been to the overlook enough, the route west on to the Espanade is where I want to go.
No, wrong Rio. But it does look like it, I must admit.
OK, mntdawg or Ride Freak, one of you wanna please solve it for us?
Damn good guess - about ten miles downstream
Lower Grand Canyon area, Lava flows would put it in the southern part of the GC area close to Lava Falls.
Good guess there, oh snow-buried one (@nwcolorider).
About seven miles down river from Lava Falls is the here pictured Whitmore Overlook which is about ten miles south of the Bar 10 Ranch, the only place out there in the Arizona Strip that sells gas and has comfy lodging accommodations (with reservation).
I will be exempt from this one!
Since I am not a Trials Rider, I don't have to recuse myself. My guess is the trials area just west of San Ysidro NM
