    Trailhead is 60 miles from my house, the range in the distance, looking SSW, is Sangre de Cristo.
    Easy ride to this spot.

    If you ever see it pick up a book called "Tales of the Black Range". They talk about Chloride Creek in it, there some interesting tales about that road.

    I wondered why the photo info showed "BurtonsCabin", and I now suspect you stayed at Jim's place while on this ride.

    My last visit to this location was in 198x, and the building was a sad little cabin then. We waited while the tourists on the train ate lunch, then paid and had lunch ourselves, before continuing on our ride.

    I did stay there for this ride! We do several rides from his place each year...great riding in that area!
