State Tax issue that rolled out this year. Such bullshit. It is super painful for online businesses selling to CO customers who do not have a full time bookkeeper.

Why would the customers need a full time bookkeeper? :dunno

    Misplaced modifiers are such fun.
Remember this one from school daze: "Piano for sale by lady with wooden legs"?

This sales tax thing has saved me at least $1000 so far! I put something in my cart that costs more than $75, see the with-tax price and then close that tab. :flip

Maybe I'm the only person this cheap...

Closing the tab saves money? I don't understand your meaning. Is someone matching RA prices?

My response was not specifically related to rock auto. Every major online retailer is now collecting sales tax in Colorado. If the tab is closed then I can't complete the purchase, so I can't spend the money. It doesn't work on essential purchases, but boy have I talked myself out of buying quite a lot of bike accessories and gear.

Meanwhile I can get significantly similar parts from the big A, one click and done. Its not about tax evasion. I want to pay the taxes. The little guy doesn't have a chance because he doesn't have an accountant that can go county by county and city by city to set 100 or more different tax rates just for sales in CO . :(

My Badlands is in need of a slight pocket patch/repair. Anyone have a source for such repair in COS or Denver?

There is Stichline in Denver (south). I have been trying to get a hold of them via email, but no response. They have limited hours. I am going to call today, but it never looks good for a business to not respond to emails.

Just go to a local tailor. I've had great experiences with one here in Boulder. If you want to trek up here, it's Boulder Custom Tailoring (303) 413-0739.

If you come up, let me know and I'll meet you for lunch.

Anyone heading to Salida from the Denver area in the near future? I have a truck wheel that needs transport.

Anyone going back and forth between Boulder and Steamboat in the next few weeks?
I'm trying to get a bike seat to Osprey down in Boulder.
    Thanks, RD

    Question for the masses:
If you were planning a dirt bike ride in AZ for February, where would you go? What's the warmest, most fun place to go play for a few days? One that has the highest probability of fair weather...

Wickenburg, we've never been denied there due to weather but the same could probably be said for anything south of camp verde. Last year was definitely colder in general but that was a fluke. I hope.

What Ince sez... raced Wickenburg for years, great trails and weather. Race was usually held in February...

Get some maps or someone with local info, that desert is big enough to run your fuel empty and have you wondering what the procedure is to wring a cactus to get gasoline.
