Haven't heard much on Rocky's saddles lately. Everybody still happy? Any issues? Any gotchas?
The wife had one made last summer for her RT, was dealing with Rocky while they were still in Boise. Finished the deal after they went back to CA. she loves it and is getting ready to order one for her Roadster (R1100R 75th )
Yes, completely satisfied; a good value for the money. :):
Would'nt ride without it. Cover it in leather. Mucho nice.
Just recently got mine. First time I sat on it I thought it was not going to be all that much of an improvement because if felt hard. Boy was I wrong. The Mayer seat is a huge improvement over stock! I still think if feels kind of hard when I sit on it but it sure is comfortable. My wife loves hers on the back of the GS.
Still loving it after about 6 months Wife REALLY likes it
Was thinking of getting it recovered in leather but think I'll get a second "solo" done in leather instead (after I get a ton of other "needs" delt with ).
I love my seats - they have to be the best shaped seats and look fantastic with the leather - 6 months on the seat has 'given' a bit and is very comfortable. I just don't think about discomfort on long distances anymore.
Thanks for the Ink! Butt, lets get the company name right.
Bill Mayer Saddles.
Heaven forbid there be any confusion:)))
Hang on boys.....get the gaff! :):
I am so lucky, My wife rides her own, wouldnt be caught dead on the back of mine.
The November '02 issue of RIDER magazine has a great write up on Bill Mayer Saddles.
I thing getting a seat from any one of the Mayer brothers is a win win situation and it beats taking a loan out for a Russel saddle!
I am a satisfied Rick Mayer customer and would not hesitate to buy a seat from Rocky. After all they all learned from their dad the master of all saddles.
