I've got a can of Isobutane stove fuel in Fort Collins for free. It's JetBoil brand but I think it will work with other stoves too. Sold my stove, don't need it.

    Hi all,
I bought the GS new last May. It now had just over 12000 miles on it. Santa Fe BMW did the 600 mile service. I have done the rest. I changed the motor oil at 3000, 6000, 9000, and again just last week just before 12000 miles. The motor oil that I am using is BMW standard 15-50. The bike doesn’t burn any oil between changes. This is the first boxer that I have owned that doesn’t.
I change the transmission oil at 6000 miles. It now has full BMW synthetic.
Last fall after BMW changed their minds on Final Drive fluid. They now claim that it should be change one time after 600 miles. I could be off on the miles. But it fairly soon after you buy a 07. They said nothing about the 06s. I change my final drive fluid twice. Once at 9000 and again at 10000. The 9000 oil looks great. A few small metal parts on the Speedo magnet. At 10000 nothing was found on the magnet.

I put new torances on at 9000 miles. They should be about half left.

I installed new rear brake pads at 12000 miles.

I checked the valve tolerances at 6000 and again at 12000. Each time the valves were well within tolerance. Again I have never had a boxer that would hold valve tolerances for 6000 miles let alone 12000.

    Riding
I mainly ride the bike back and forth to work. Riding through the National lab most times speeds are around 50 mph. I have had it on two 400 mile trips. I have ridden very little back country with it. I tipped it once when I stopped in a bad spot. As I was starting out my front was stopped by a rock. I tried to hold the bike as long as I could. But it was too far over. When I let it go. It tossed me off. My endruo boots dented the high side of the tank. The panel that was dented is very light weight. Everyone complains about them. They can be replaced. I will replace it if the bike sells. At the same time I put two small dents in the left side luggage cover. Again the cover is very thin tin over a plastic lid. The lid did not brake. Nothing else broke. But the luggage cover has a couple of small marks on it.
Other than that the bike is as new.

The motorcycle has: ABS, Integrated Brakes. Spoke Wheels, Luggage, Hand guards, Fast way foot pegs, I also have the originals. Heated Grips. And more.

I removed the rear low tire cover. I can reinstall it for the sale.

So I have a few aluminum framed canopy event tents that I no longer need.

The 1st is a 20'x30' Economy brand (manufactured in hurricane prone South Florida) it is white in color and has a high roof, one piece canopy, ten height adjustable legs, all aluminum frame, full side curtains with cathedral windows, ropes and stakes. I used it only one time in the Mojave Desert for 6 weeks. It is beautiful and can be set up by one person (though I stongly recommend 2 or more!). Paid just over $3,000.00 one year ago, sell for $1,700 to an adver.

2nd is a 10'x10' F+S brand (also in So. FL, bought out by Economy) white one piece canopy with full side curtains (no windows), height adjustable legs, stakes, and ropes. Very easy to set up alone. Used for occasional events (maybe 14 weeks per year) for 5 years. Side curtains show some wear, but canopy is very good. Cost about $1200.00 sell for $450.00.

3rd is same as second, but only has 1/2 side curtain (20', need 40' to surround) and one leg is bent but still useable. Sell for $200.00

Sorry no actual pics, I'm not going to set them up just to photograph 'em. Here's a stock pic I found online.

Have ran some well filtered used motor oil in small quantities, illegal but seems to clean injectors and prechambers well.

I know my search for an exhaust has been on many of your minds for the last few weeks ever since I posted the original request.

I am please to inform you that I have located a stock exhaust and "it's in the mail".

So just one less thing for you to worry about.

Thanks for all your thoughts - I know you were all pulling for me. :bow

    XR650R stock DID rims and spokes in good shape. front is 1.6 X 21 36, rear is 2.15 X 18 36.

$60 each or $100 for the pair.

    Is that a fair price?
