We've got the same rig. Same year, same motor, same trim level. Hell, our's is even the same color and similar mileage. Just here to say these are great vehicles, and this one is very nicely modified. I wish I could buy it. It'd be really cool to see it parked next to our other one in the driveway. Talk about an epic his/hers setup. Anyway, someone PLEASE buy this so I can stop drooling over it.

Thanks! It’s funny you mention that as my brother has a similarly modified one and his wife has a stock one. They are everywhere around here.

2005 Land Rover LR3--160,000 miles. Cosmetically challenged. All body panels straight just bad respray job has deteriorated. Just found out it will need an air suspension compressor. Independent Land Rover shop has quoted me $1,400 for a new one. Some have had success with after market ones but I've not. I have a knock-off Hitachi that I can't get to communicate with the rest of the system even though shop did a reflash of the software. They can get the suspension system to work fine with a spare OEM unit, so that means no leaks in the line and no problems with the air bags in the suspension system. Traditional coil springs will eliminate the problem but you can't adjust the ride height. Various options for that will run about the same price as the compressor install.

All else is in good condition for a vehicle its age. Does have a cracked rear taillight and noisy suspension bushings--doesn't effect performance and I don't hear the squeaking while driving but the techs at JC British 4x4 always note it in their report. I have most receipts for service and maintenance since I bought it 8 years ago.

Only one key and the remote function has failed due to battery. I worked around it but know that a new fully functioning remote key will cost you $400 if turning a key in a lock is too frustrating. I've seen videos showing how to replace the battery in the unit for a few bucks but it never bothered me to be without a remote to dig into that.

Employment situation necessitates getting rid of it in a hurry.

    NADA of $6350
    KBB between $6514 and $4994

$3000 or best offer. Really need this thing gone.

If anyone wants photos I can post them up or send them.

A lot of truck for not a lot of cash.

A couple of requests for photos.

Bad respray of door scratches. IMG_3674.jpg IMG_3677.jpg
    IMG_3656.jpg IMG_3658.jpg

Light surface rust on the frame. Most of what you see here is red clay dirt from a Moab excursion during which this served as a sag wagon for a White Rim trail mountain bike ride. The only real off road it has been on. I have mountain slow internet so if anyone wants more detailed photos it would be a lot easier on me to email them.

I have a set of NEW...NEVER USED AltRider Hemisphere Soft Bags. I won them at a rally and have no need for them.
RevZilla and Cycle Gear are selling them for $479
AltRider has them on sale now at $419
    AltRider bag pic.JPG
I'd like $300, plus shipping, for the set (will only ship to a US address and use PayPal)
$275 if you are local and I don't have to screw with shipping
You can look at the above vendors websites for spec and then PM me with any questions.

I tried to fit them to one of my dirt bikes, but they are too big for that app. They are intended to be used on big adventure bikes with side racks (not included)

Why don't you just put it in the free pile and give it to someone who could use it? Minus the Sidi's

For sure, thats the next step! Trying to make a little money for a big move, so thought I'd try selling first.

So all soft goods and helmet are up for free if anyone wants to pick them up. I have a pair of gloves too. Would make some nice loaner stuff for someone smaller.

Will post in the free thread as well.
