Hey There "Double Yellow Dave"! :wave

It's made with square tubing, so it's all hollow pieces making the frame.
The expanded metal floor and sides adds about as much weight as the frame.
I considered making it out of aluminum, but it would have cost a small fortune.
I miter cut the ends so there wouldn't be any places for water to get inside the frame members ............ and I ground all the welds off flat ............. that probably makes the frame look more "solid" than hollow?
It's not as heavy as it looks. I think I can carry it by myself like a piece of drywall, but I've never tried it. Maybe not?
Even with someone as scrawny as Tiger Jimmy, we move it around easily with each of us on an end.
Now you got me wishing that I had taken some bathroom scales to weight it.

AND it is BEAUTIFUL in Steamboat this afternoon .........and I've been doing mostly paperwork!
(but i rode yesterday - and I'm going to ride again tomorrow)

That rack looks like a good start to a trailer.

You do know the story behind "DYD", don't you Pat? :evil

There's no doubt that Dave is a serious menace to society .................. but he's OUR MENACE to society! :raabia

    SAFETY THIRD BROTHER!

That would almost make a sled deck! Throw an axle under there and a tongue and you got a trailer. I see all kinds of possibilities! Someone pick this up before I do something stupid according to my wife!

The WRR is a great bike for sure. It just goes where you point it with no drama. Love it but I've fallen down the MTB rabbit hole and haven't ridden in a while.

Yes! I was riding East to Buena Vista after Fall Color Tour. Dave was on his bumble bee airhead. I was on my F800GS. We looked way ahead from up high. No west bound traffic at all. I had just met Dave in person that weekend. We met online when he offered to bring a rack from AZ to CO for a TW200. He thought I was a slow, tentative girl rider. He didn’t know the rack was for Cindy’s Yamaha. I thought he was a slow old geezer. We hauled ass down those curves passing cars at will ON DOUBLE YELLOW BLIND CURVES. What a rush!

Dave, THANK YOU for the serious laughs this morning. :thumb

That is without a doubt, one of the funniest pictures that I've ever seen on ADV. CLASSIC!

Interesting to find out that your "lapse in judgement" wasn't an "isolated incident" like I had been led to believe all these years. :scratch :augie

I'm sure that you know that I have always "put you up on a pedestal" because you're such a solid dude.
But occasionally that pedestal would teeter for some reason (trying to eat healthy, respecting others, appreciating children, loving dogs, flogging airheads, etc.) but I have to say after seeing that selfie ---- that your pedestal is now more steady & solid than ever!
    Thanks for that.

Give me a shout next time you want to go ignore the speed limit, take some chances, and make some poor decisions! I'm onboard!

This is the flea market. Keep it to the right of the "double yellow" lines.

    I'll show myself out.

Alpinestars Stella women's jacket, in silver leather
    Size L

Lightly worn, never been down, excellent condition.
Stock shoulder, elbow, and back armor.
Snug fit on a woman who usually wears large in shirts and other jackets. Fitted bust, not very large. Good fit on 5'8", ~160# woman.
Non-smoking home. The tassels come off pretty easily. I'll condition the leather if you want.
Might be able to meet within ~15 miles of my zip code, depending on timing etc.
    $150

Aerostich R3 40R in excellent condition with knee, hip, back, chest, shoulder and elbow armor. The color is much brighter in person, my ipad camera isn’t very good and it looks dingy. $530 picked up in Colorado Springs. I’m 5’10”, 170lbs, 32” inseam jeans. This one was a little too short in the torso and a little short on the legs. I wore it for a few rides and it’s fine on the bike but a little tight and uncomfortable when walking around.
