    Good luck Lee.

Once you get her home, be sure to check the bolts for the bracket that holds the lower portion of the exhaust in place. There are 3 of them and they are right by the bulge in the pipe where the cat is. There is a 99% chance that one or more of those little cowards will abandon ship, so take them out, slather them with some loctite, and cinch them back up again. One less thing to worry about. :thumb

This will be the first new bike I have purchased since 2001. I am pumped to get it ..
I personally am not big in to buying a bike then spending 5K on suspension... Exhaust... Bags... Etc.. I am a bit of a cheap prick... One of thei things that drew me to this bike was the amount of items the bike had for the price and I LOVE how it looks...
I am scheduled to ride to the "tail of the dragon" June 11 th... Can't wait to put her through there and the surrounding roads...

My VIN has mostly zeros in it, so just like my WRR, I was an "early adopter"......

Really liked the Norge! I only got rid of it because no matter what I did, I couldn't adjust the riding position such that I had zero weight on my hands, and due to years of off-road riding abuse, my hands would go numb after a few hours in the Norge's saddle. Even with swapping to Helibars, adding GripPuppies, getting more thickly padded gloves, and maintaining a very light grip, there was just enough weight on my hands, and just enough vibes that I'd have problems. The feeling wouldn't fully return for a few days, so it was a pretty significant issue for me. Stunning looking bike though, and got as many compliments as my Ducati. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sport touring bike, and non-current models can be had for a fantastic price (I see a dealer in Portland OR has a demo '15, white, with only 120 miles on it for $13k, which could probably be negotiated much lower). :thumb

    Lee,
Thanks! Been into steam punk for awhile, could not pass up the helmet!
The only 2 issues I have with the bike is:
Windscreen needs to be @3 inches higher
F-ing owners manual leaves a lot to be desired, unless you speak/read Italian.

I was a little shocked at my insurance cost... As I said I have not had a new bike in a long time and have not paid more than 280 a year on a bike.. This is double that.
I will own it outright so I can pull the insurance in the winter... And save a few hundred..generally no riding Dec to March where I am..

That bike has been sitting awhile. It came from the first batch shipped to the US, the same batch that I got mine from.....last July..... :hmmmmm.

Re. insurance, that sounds a little bit high, but not outrageous. I have been with the same insurance carrier for over 25yrs and had everything covered by them, so I got every discount they had, and they still couldn't come close to what I got from USAA (Progressive). Better coverage than my primary insurer for about 40% less money...... :thumb

I am wondering if being so new I may need a re flash of the ECU or something to fix the fueling.

I'm still running on the stock map that the bike came with and my fueling is perfect.

If you're having problems, and given how long that bike has been sitting (just under 1 year!), I'd guess there's varnish in the fuel system and your selling dealer needs to do a thorough cleaning of it, especially the fuel injectors.
