Exactly how many Caponards are sold in North America each year. They seem to really discount them. A used one (2015) is going in the high 8000 range. A caponard is not on my wish list , but it could be .

juat sold a 06 fjr and 2001 sv650 track bike. local dealer has 15 while capo with 3k miles for 8k .

i have a leg issue scatica and back problem so thinking a taller bike will be better. I had a vstrom 1000 for 1 yr in 2005 . After 10k sold it as I hated the top heavy .

    Any input. I am 6 2 / 230 lbs .

The Caponord weighs over 600# and it has a US spec short side stand. It takes quite a bit of effort to bring it up off of the side stand. You can always put a thicker "foot" on the side stand pad -- I've used a hockey puck on a Tenere' -- or a small block of wood with a lanyard looped over the bar end as I've done with a Norge. In general it probably isn't too much different than the VStrom.
I'm 74 and have lost a bit of leg strength -- an it's not going to get better as the years go by. For now I'm able to handle my '16 Capo Rally.

Thanks . I am 43 and my leg is hurt but I still work out , do martial arts ... bite the pain. For taken 2 months off to heal. In sept i want another bike . I will ride the track so I need a comfortable bike for street .

The other option is a 2014 kim 1190 adventure for a few hundred more with 11 k miles

I've had a 2006 KTM 950, so am familiar with the engine layout --- very strong motor, but so is the Capo and the Capo is the smoother running of the two. I also like the active electronic suspension on the Capo.

    Good luck!

Just bought and sorting a 2015 Glamp White Capo. 24000 miles. Travel Pack. Just put new tires on. Replacing my 02 Capo with 52000 miles. Both bikes are awesome. Learning the electronics on the 15. Got a heck of a deal on the 15 and will be soon completing the 24,800 mile service at home. Waiting for the weather to cool down to plan a trip.

New to me 2016 Rally with 700 miles on it. Yes, 700. Under $7k but it did not have the rear luggage/mounts or front crash bar/lights. I can only guess but first owner(297 miles) probably dropped it, freaked, removed the damaged bits and sold it. 2nd owner put 400 miles on it and parked it because he likes dirt bikes better. So that makes me the 3rd owner. I'm going to look into getting the 2nd owner, who happens to be a welder/fabricator to lengthen that side stand. I did invest in a center stand and installed it this weekend. PITA, but worth it. Not sure what bag(s) setup I will look into. I rarely used side case or do overnight trips and prefer a trunk/tailbag. I might get the Trekkers for resale so it has the Rally bits because that was one of the things that kept me from buying it right away. Would also like some riding lights back on the front since the switch is wired for it.
