I'll be there Saturday...due to work load and travel (I've been gone last two weeks and next two as well) during the week....I'll probably hit the freeway home Sunday to get caught-up on stuff...

I just called Ralph at Cave City Campground and told him to release my cabin, #7. I told him if he ends up hosed on income this weekend I'd be glad to send him some money. Some reports are actually saying 6-10 inches of snow in Indy on Sunday. I'm not willing to travel from KY to north of Indy in that situation. There's a small chance I'll do the ride saturday, and as soon as I hit Cave City I'll just turn around and ride home, but that's 650 miles for Saturday, and I don't think I'm conditioned for that yet. I might do a 300-400 mile southern Indiana Saturday ride instead, trying to find some good routes in the brown county / southern IN area if I do that. I hate to miss this trip, I was really looking forward to the terrain and to meet some of you guys.

I was looking at those. They are stating the snow/cold front will be moving in from the South (huh, what's up with that) and the white stuff wont be over Louisville until midday (if then); some are saying late afternoon/evening. You jinxed it Mark with that 58'f forecast you posted yesterday.
Oops, the cold front is coming down from the north and the moisture from the south, so farther north the moisture gets the rain will turn to snow.

BTW.. The news is not on to "help you out or inform you with actual events going on" they are out to make you paranoid and scared so you lock your doors and windows and watch their news channel.

I'm still in for Saturday, out for Sunday. Planning to grab dinner in Cave City and jump on the interstate home. The way they maintain roads in my county I'm not willing to risk running thru any snow accumulation coming home Sunday.

I guess this weekends snow storm is Mother Natures payback for the beautiful weather we had at the HNF campout last November.

Only if you want to cross the Green river. You could ride 31 down from Munfordsville if you want.

That got me thinking with the floods they've had, so I just called the Ferry hotline...(not that one Nick!)

The Green river ferry which is on our Saturday route is open 6:00 - 9:55 CDT but the Houchins ferry further west is closed because of the terrible goverment shut down.
