Long day from Rossland, BC to Halcyon Hotsprings on mostly dirt. Started along the Old Cascade Highway then up the Granby FSR to the Burrell Creek FSR. After Edgewood it curves and bends on pavement all the way to the hotsprings. Gorgeous country and hardly a soul out there. All the FSRs are in top condition. Lots of fuel and rest stops along the way. You could also break this up and camp overnight at one of the rec sites along the Granby/Burrell Creek FSR.

I noticed your from Rossland and curious if you have ever been to the abandoned town of Sandon..?? I have been to several of the abandoned towns in around the Lillooet area and hoping to expand my selection to include a few locations in this area, but not sure of accommodations or camping locations in the area.. Any help is appreciated..

New Denver, Nakusp and Kaslo have town campgrounds and there’s a provincial park campground at Rosebery, 10 km north of New Denver.

Thank you for the prompt reply and appreciate the advice. I seen the provincial park (in maps)and wasn't sure if that would be open in summer, but I guess I can also make reservations in Kaslo and Nakusp if needed.. Thank you again..

Rosebery campground was open when I was there in August (2020) and was full every night.

Wragge beach is a nice spot. It’s across the lake from New Denver and N. a bit.

I have actually broken this adventure into 3 groups, the southern interior, the island(including Kitsault and Ocean Falls) then Northern BC.. Visiting all the abandoned towns, mines and points of interest.. Hoping to start in the lower parts late April, or early may.. Trying to stay as much off road as possible..

Definitely go to Sandon, also some more abandoned mines in that area. Worth seeing the mining museum and some of the history around Rossland if mining history is your thing.
