I haven't been up yet to check it out, and would like to hear from a local, but it looks like the fire is the ridge South of Rowher. Winds are NE to SW so it's probably fine for this one. The way things are going it'll all burn sometime soon. I also wouldn't be surprised if the surrounding area is closed to riding for the next couple months. They did that two years ago when the ridge North of Rowher burned.

Rowher is fine. Winds blew south/west of the starting point.

Did a nice little ride yesterday . All is good at Rowher. Looks like a close call for Shawn's place. Burned all around his house!

Hi Rich, I'm watching these fires and wondering why we are not hearing about a lot of close calls from ADVers. Doesn't atpalmer live near Sand Canyon and the 14? Hope he's OK.
St George has gone 139 days with no measurable rain and we have about 2 acres of virgin sagebrush out back of our house:(

I had to evacuate with the kids for a day. Fires were about a mile from us. I've been putting a lot of miles on the 250F. I already need a rear tire.

Rode Rowher on Saturday w/ my "new to me" 300 xcw. Searched out all the hardest routes to test out the 2T beast. Had such a great time and wasn't beat azz tired at the end of the day. I don't think my 701 is going to see Rowher again anytime soon, save for 'family' day. Did the "Rowher Outline" (?) up and around, across Ridge Bypass and Ridge (?), then down through Broken Spoke and a few others we found over there. Next time I'll go up through Drinkwater. Did that on my old 450 and had fun. Should be a blast on the 300.
Trails were in decent shape. Jeeps/4x put some big ruts in the middle of steeper hill climbs. One dipshit put his Jeep all-but-over the edge on the single track that parallels the fire road that the top of the mountain.. I think the trail is Ridge line?? Left tires were barely hanging on to the edge of the trail. No one was around. Who knows how he was going to get it out of there. I doubt ANY 4wd can get there firm enough to pull it back up the hillside and even if/when they do, where the hell are they going to go? Hopefully we have it on our videos. I have to run through them tonight and see. There's a REASON for those trail markers that say NO JEEPS. Doh! :fpalm

Video didn't come out that great. My son was trying out new mounts with his new gopro 8. Wasn't angled correctly but here's the view of the jeep. Funny coincidence.. the "FU.." in the license number. Ya, you're "FU'd" all right.

Funny but when I got the 300 home, my buddy asked me what I was selling to replace...

I had to look up the word "selling". :augie

Video of the trails we hit. I've never been on most of these so it was all new to us. The video was all shot from my son's gopro 8. Looks like gopro is finally up to par with my Sony FDR X3000 for video stabilization.
