Wow really? I went through Bouquet just this morning..,

so is Rowher closed now?

It's 50% contained, so that would mean it is virtually out now... but I have no first hand info.
Video I saw from earlier today shows it starting near Bouquet Cyn and Texas Cyn and moving North along the ridge towards Rowher... but doesn't look like it made it that far.
I'd guess that it's closed to keep people out of the area... the real question is how fast they reopen.

Spoke with Terry earlier, gate 8s open as well.

Just a heads up, Rowher is CLOSED at least until friday. Went for a putt putt & Terry was at the gate hanging out when i got there. Explained there adding in 300ft of new pavement from where it initially stopped, those first few corners have been jacked up for years from rainfall. Check before you go! EDIT: Just checked the website & states it's open, DO NOT GO BY THAT FOR SURE...

It will be nice to have the section smoothed out. Always whip the bikes around after forgetting about it.

It sucks for the people that drive from OC & other places only to find the gate closed. Website still states that it is open!

Can you ride in from the Bouquet Canyon side? (I was surprised to see Gorman OHV open last weekend, considering all the forest closures.)

They have or had yellow tape stretched across the entrance on the Bouquet side. I'll check it out today.

I'm sure they will close it down for a year or two. They will claim exposed archeological sites have been exposed and they must wait for the brush to cover them up.

Until forest closures are lifted we'll never know. If the high pressure systems continue forget it about anytime soon for sure!

Did the main riding area burn? Could not find a burn map for this one. Hoping they stopped it at the ridge.
