O.k. so there's like boat loads of posts in the Royal Enfield Himalayan thread and the Royal Enfield Himalayan Owners thread. Time to list the Genuine RE factory and the aftermarket Himalayan goodies. What fits. What works. What the inmates who pony up the dough for this stuff rates it at on a scale of 1 to 5 stars each for build quality, fit and finish, durability, usability and value.

Raise a mug to Antheron who stated the whole thing on post #3 in the Royal Enfield Himalayan Owners thread owners thread and to contributors Signal13, Matt TwoTired, Flicka, Signal13, boatnut,

This is a work in progress and it takes time to pull info from the threads. Be patient. The list is going to get lots of changes and updates and morph and re arranges as time goes on.

Also a lot of us have alot of this stuff. If you got and used it or have something to add chime in, your input is valuable and folks want to know.

Dude, I think you need to build 1 owners thread build of mods, fixes and upgrades vs all mish mash of threads that will end on page 5 and lost.

Build something right and sticky it to the top vs what you are doing.

Pull the post number from the other threads along with the rating a brief comment so folks can go to it for more info and comment sounds reasonable I think.
With some stuff in it should be easy to pitch to the mods to tack this and the mod & hacks thread under Himalayan in the bike specific thread index I think.

As you might know I've been wrenching on the Himalayan and I have opinion on what tools have been useful so to this thread I'd offer some tools advice.

In general I'd rather use a socket instead of a wrenches and when a socket can't reach then the closed end is preferable over the open end wrench.

For sockets, I normally like a ratchet but for working on the bike it's not necessary and the T-handle driver seems to be a little more handy.

A good quality and OK price socket with T handle driver,
    Motion Pro 08-0389 Tri-Drive Mini T-Handle Kit 1/4-inch Drive with 8,10,12,13mm Sockets, $15
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GZJF1Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And a good quality but affordable wrench set with only the sizes you need, it was $10 on ebay,
    Genuine Silverline Combination Spanner Set Metric SP10, 6 piece sizes 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 17 mm
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Silverline-Combination-Spanner-Set-6pce-8-17mm-Metric-SP10/362273782606?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Lastly, a hex set is needed but I haven't found a set with only the few sizes the bike needs which are 4, 5, and 6mm. It's also nice to have an adapter to use the 1/4" socket driver or ratchet to turn the hex bits.
Here's the set I bought but there might be a better option out there,
    https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tools-...1543460618&sr=8-8&keywords=metric+hex+bit+set

So far those are the only tools I've had to use, and I'm specifically not using my regular garage tools. These tools I'm using for the bike I'm intending to carry on the bike.

Yes, the tool set that comes with the bike is lacking. I've added a torx bit to I can adjust the handle bars...I forget what size. I also added a spare tube, which I need to replace since I already used the two I bought, a valve stem remover, and a set of tire spoon levers. In addition, I cut off a small length of a wooden dowel and wrapped some duck tap around that (no sense in carrying a whole roll). Also threw in a small multi tool, various sizes of zip ties, and a small pry bar. Drop the bike on its left side and bend the the shifter towards the bike and you'll then know why you need a pry bar, but a screwdriver will work in a pinch. :lol3 That's all I can recall at the moment, but I know there are about 3 or 4 more things I'm forgetting.

I carry a leatherman on my belt when riding but I don’t think I’ll ever want to use it. I would dare wrench a bolt with it!

I’m thinking I’ll just leave it in the garage!

I did buy a Knipex plier wrench and it’s impressive but I’d still rather use a socket or wrench. It didn’t list it because it’s foolishly expensive. All the other tools I listed combined cost less than this one gadget!

That's close but a little too long. I sent and hour and half at NAPA going through the book. I'll post up the dimensions of the one in my bike tomorrow.

E7431AF6-AA4F-42BA-BB13-AEE6FF30AEE3.jpeg Update on the Zana saddle stays mine were well built but needed some twisting on the left side mounting tube to make it level and bending the bottom brace to the pillion peg I thought it was just my set. Another Himalayan owner got the same stays and his left rack was also not level, that indicated a production problem. I contacted Zana about the issue and am waiting for a reply.

Mystik 15-50 semi synthetic oil, available from Amazon, 2 gallons for 48.00 delivered.
Don't underestimate it if you have not heard of Mystik, it is outstanding oil made by Citgo.
Amazon and O'Reilly's as well as many farm stores supply it.
