Now a proud Himalayan owner, too. Only done 500 km so far but absolutely love it. The handling is fantastic (kudos to Harris Performance Engineering, they clearly know what they're doing!) and the engine is sweet - surprisingly smooth for a thumper. Although it's not a powerful engine, I like its low down torque which makes for a very relaxed ride. In fact, the word 'relaxed' sums up the bike's character very well.

The only negative so far was wind buffeting. I'm 5' 9" and it hit me straight on the visor. Since the windscreen is cheap to replace I decided to cut it off. I took me several hours of sawing, filing, sanding (first P40 then FL212P then P600) and polishing with Brasso, but I think the result looks OK. Now my head is in clean air while still no pressure on my chest.

I did manage to download the Service Manual for the BS3 (carburettor) model here. Surprisingly though, this version doesn't contain any information on engine maintenance (e.g. valve adjustment, cam chain adjustment, oil change procedure, etc.). In every other respect it is comprehensive, and I wonder whether there's a separate manual just for the engine. I've contacted Royal Enfield regarding this.

Unique rides moved to Loveland, they are down by the Sonic and walmart on Denver ave.
I also heard that a while back RE re structured their dealer ship requirments when they got a new NorthAmerican rep etc.. that wasnt favorable for a lot of dealers that were not moving a lot of bikes. They bummped the order numbers etc..

Did you consider adding a Laminar Lip or MRA Airwing before you cut the screen down?

    Ah thanks.
The reps at the IMS sounded desperate to have a Colorado dealer and yet they bump their dealer. I don't think many RE sell anyway but this bike could change the landscape for them.

Does the screen have a 2 angle position adjustment?

I see a 2 hole above that rear screw.
Can you move it more upright?

Yes you can, but the more upright position made the buffeting rather worse for me. I'd like to add though that how much buffeting one experiences very much depends on one's height and helmet. I'm 5' 9".

    Did Harris redo the suspension?
    Upgrade valving, springs?
I assume the stock suspension is basic.

Yes you can, I found with my helmet more buffeting in the forward/higher position. YMMV
Fitting handguards means you need to move the screen to the forward position.
I am still deciding which way I'll go...

Suspension is basic, same for every market as far as I can tell.
It suits the nature of the bike quite well.
Harris did the frame and basic layout it seems. Components woud have been chosen on a cost basis, one of the Ozzy owners is getting a new rear shock built...

Harris designed protyped and tested and developed and refined it at thier facility in the UK for RE. Then they tested it some more in the real world and made tweaks .

If you want to fit Bark Busters you will need to shift the screen to the more forward position for clearance

Does anyone know if Racetech GVE or similar would fit? It's a damping rod fork, correct?
