I'm not sure how you found me after I slipped from my front page status:D - which I must say took a bit of getting used to:lol3 - but I'm glad you did. And I'm happy to hear you found inspiration for your own journey in it!!

You can guess my advice. Simply: Go! Go! Go!

Thanks for reading. And many blessings on your own journey.

    Hi All!:wave
I must have reached my quota because I am no longer being notified of new posts on my own thread. So I have to check back every once in a while to see if there is anything new here.

I know a while ago I promised that I would put together a list of advice, gear, packing, wrap up sort of thing. And I will, yet. I'm getting to it. As you all can imagine, it's easy to fall back into the busyness of life, and as much as I said I wasn't going to, I have.

The readjustment to life-not-on-the-road has been relatively easy. I have moments of nostalgia when my memory drifts back to the wonderful people, breath-taking roads, and life lived in the moment. But I have an armful of photos and plenty of people still asking about the trip, so I get to relive it almost everyday, still:D.

I still hear reports of far off people who had somehow found this thread and followed my journey. It surprises me and makes me smile:D.

And, I still carry with me a deep sense of gratitude for everything in my life and also a new level of awareness about simplicity and the over-whelming push of materialism and "need/want/greed" that our society and media has created. I am trying my hardest to not be drawn back into it, but it is EVERYWHERE. (Kill your television.)

I have also come away with a handful of wonderful people that I now call friends that I either met along the road or through this very thread. How cool is that?!:kumbaya

May there be goodness in your day!

    Hey Erica,

Great to see you posting again, hope all is well...

BP and I just got back from her first trip twisting her own throttle....this trip definitely resembled the Fire Hose Method of Learning....She did great and the bike was awesome..I think she's working on the RR.....

The road up from Aspen was getting fresh Chip Seal over a 5 mile section the morning we took this pic...I think Patty must have been half asleep riding in that stuff, cause she never had one bobble...With me in front, and her two Uncles following on the Wing and the HD, she did her self proud....Made the Pic on top better too....From there we went to Leadville were got to see Tinker Juarez and did the Lance watch while we where taking a break...

    See ya out there.............

    Hi All!

Since many of your followed me on my journey home from South America, I thought I'd invite you along on my next journey. It's a little different journey than this one...

My next adventure/journey will be training over the winter for an Ironman Triathlon: 2 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run, taking place in Idaho in June.

If you'd like to follow along, I'll be sharing the journey on my blog, http://elysium-on-the-hill.blogspot.com/

If you click on the "follow" button, you'll receive updates when I post a new entry. I hope to see you on the other side!

    Be well, everyone!

    Erica
