"Blood Thinners"! Cut my finger cleaning fish and that mofo bled for a half a day

Of course that was after a full day out fishing so my blood was pretty freakin' thinned out :loaded

So who's going to join the site?

I swear, was thinking $40 a year for smugmug was supposed to take care of it

Sccaauugghhtt already told me he's more than likely not

I guess if it's mandatory now

Y'all can reach me on Facebook

My online name is Fodder Wing

That way I see it, I’ve been pretty much a mooch here for a decade. Other than throwing some cash upstairs when I sell some shit all I’ve done here has been free and rewarding beyond dollars.
Hell I tipped my waiter at IHOP half what I paid for the supported tag night before last. I own a klr and all but ya know

Smugmug is no longer hosting ADV and so ADV has to generate revenue somehow to pay for the servers and hosting.
It isn't mandatory to pay up, but it is likely that you will see banners and popups like Youtube is doing now......
I too have had the benefit of this site and the knowledge gained here is worth more than the $49 a year IMHO. Shit, one dealer visit could be 10 years of ADV membership...
    Anyway, each to their own!:thumb

I donated once, $50 years ago

    Suppose I'll keep to it

Makes me wonder what happened when Annie GS opened her own site

Actually joined years ago but now I don't even remember what it was called :gerg

Pretty much what Oscar said. I'm weighing the options of hanging on for free or pony up. Smugmug has proved to be a good investment over time - my pics still show up in old threads. :clap

And I pay about the same rate as a supporter for Jeepforum. Another worthwhile investment given the info I've gleaned for my Jeep and my daughter's XJ (which I have to run up to VA soon and haul it back on a trailer, Dammit). So I'm leaning towards buying in to this site. Too many good friends made, too many good times (just ask my doctor) had, and too much good info shared.

I keep checking it but haven't had much worth posting about.... until lately.
Thanksgiving day I headed out with a U-Haul pickup and auto transporter trailer about 0500 for Tazewell County, VA. Had to pick up my daughter's broken Cherokee since she threw in the towel and bought a new Kia up there. She and Bobby (BF) have good paying jobs at the Utility Trailer factory in Marion, VA where Utility builds its reefer semi trailers. They were off for Thanksgiving so I drove up Thursday, visited with her Friday, towed the Jeep home Saturday. Good weather, no traffic Thursday, and slightly heavier Saturday. No way I was going to be on the road that Sunday.
Then this past Wednesday I help some friends move vehicles, household goods, and dogs & birds & cats from here to Kingsport, TN. Then unload a full 26' box truck that night. Next day run over to a storage facility to load half of an earlier truck full, back to the new house, race to unload it and have time to shower and get to the Tri Cities Airport on time for me and another friend to fly back.
I felt really old and out of shape (turning 67 this month) up there but by yesterday morning felt great.

Even better/crazier - I had cataract surgery on just the left eye in 2013. This year the right eye started going south pretty quickly so I got the wheels turning to do it. Had the surgery on my birthday about a week and a half ago. It's healing well like the left eye did. Both are 20/20 now except for close up where I'll probably need to continue using readers like I've been doing. Another sign of age - as the eyes get older they become less flexible and have more trouble focusing up close and adjusting to bright light vs low light levels.

I'm getting too lazy to take and post food porn pics lately. But for New Years today we are doing the "Good luck meal" from this week's Publix flyer - Boston butt, sweet kale salad kit, vegetable seasoning package, Rotel fire roasted tomatoes & chiles, and black eyed peas all in the crock pot. Too easy and it's been smelling and looking good.
Last night I did up a cauliflower gratin casserole just to use up a head of fresh cauliflower. Same recipe on allrecipes.com and Campbells Soup web sites. I'll be doing that one again for sure.

Trans FL adventure rally. Not this weekend, but the next one. If anyone wants to join in, you can stage from our place in Ocala. Going to do the 45 mile ride up to Palatka on Saturday morning. We have a spare bedroom.

There is still time to get some tires! I ordered a sand tire today, will be much better than the TKC 80. Got a Shinko MX216 fatty. It will be replaced with the TKC after this ride.

I'm sold on the 804/805 I'm over the way the desert style knobs wear uneaven on a big girl. I've too much left to install and too much money spent to worry about tires in a week
waiting on the optional engine bolt I forgot for the nerf bars so I can mount them and the skid.
Crushed the stupid crossover pipe on a small drop in a parking lot at 140 miles.
Allstate is paying for a Delkevic deccat and 18" Carbon set up, PCFC, servo buddy, Givi Airflow screen, and short levers to replace the stock ones I had to cut to fit the Acerbis

Knobs wear unevenly on any bike. I figure this is a big ass bike to be riding in some sand. A proper front tire, and it should be no problem.
