Any idea how long it takes to get something in the U.S. from S.Meyer? I ordered an item 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks

That is about how long it took to receive my order a few weeks ago. Maybe 2 1/2 weeks.

In my experience it was just about double that, but not every time.

I'm at about 3 weeks and counting...seems to be stuck in the German export phase.

My last order from S Meyer took 3 weeks. In my experience shipping from Europe, particularly Germany and Holland is vastly slower than the UK. I think the difference is their customs clearance processing.

Except a recent order from Stein-Dinse (Germany) came through very quickly.

I’ve had orders take up to 6 weeks if they were sent via the German post office.

S Meyer is a company in Germany which has tons of what they call "oldtimer" parts. Quite reasonable in price with today's exchange rates, but it does take time to get the order processed and then wait for shipping. IF you have a sizeable order (several hundred dollars +) AND have the time to wait, it is very much worth the savings.

Here is a link to their homepage.

I have used them for orders for my /2, though they also have parts for later bikes. The only downside from my perspective was they had to have a bank wire for funds, no US credit cards. Even with that added expense, it was worth it. Despite what comments are in this thread, I found them to be efficient, shipping prices were quite reasonable, and stuff was good!

I'm a big fan of S Meyer, love their customer service and I agree with them having fair pricing for our market. Granted, I'm never in a position to buy stainless steel exhaust mufflers....but in general they get my money often. I have had orders take up to 6 weeks to arrive, but typically 3~.
