Is it ok for bikes to ride through the Spirit of the Wild WMA? It’s located next to the Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest. I’m new to dirt bike riding in the area. I was even thinking of spending the money and checking out Florida Tracks and Trails. Anybody been out there?

Florida tracks and trails along with Croom are my two favorite places to ride the dirt bike.

Thanks for the tip about the Okaloacoochee. Got to see a Florida Panther up close on the Sic Island loop. Don't know who got the bigger fright as I came around the bend :)

Spirit of the Wild is nice. Tracks and trails is deep, tight sand, and more sand.

Not trying to be a grammar-nazi, but I wanted to clear somethings up since you said you were new (although that was a month ago), and since there can be fines if the laws are broken:

A "dirt bike" usually refers to an off-road only motorcycle. The laws are different of where you can ride these versus an on-road/street-legal motorcycle (if that is your XT250 in the pic, then it's usually referred to as a "dual sport" this means a street-legal motorcycle that is made to tackle off-road terrain).

On a street-legal motorcycle, you can ride it anywhere that street-legal vehicles are allowed...but not sure if you can ride on a OHV (off-highway vehicle) trail. I'm sure everyone here knows more about OHV's then me & can answer that one.

Conversely, a dirt bike would NOT be allowed on the trails that street-legal vehicles can go. Again, there are fines associated with breaking these laws.

Where are you headed? That's what I love about my Uly, full luggage, comfy seat and enough suspension travel to get me into trouble off road.

Southern end, the photo was on Vincent Rd. My understanding from their website is the named roads are open to plated vehicles.
