The road comes out at Highway 16 next to Cash Creek Casino, I was thinking of giving it a try from that end to see how far you can go. I live closer the to the Lake Berryessa side. That is why I started from that end.

I have got to build a fence this weekend, but lets give it a try in a few weeks?

Speaking of Berryessa. I'm heading up to do the 128/knoxville-berryessa loop mid-week. Anyone interested in road-riding?

Here's a nice loop around the North side of Berryessa.

    All roads are currently open

...Go up I-5 (boring) or Hwy99W (less boring but still very straight) to Arbuckle.

...West of Arbuckle take Sand Creek Rd west into the Capay Valley

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227234&highlight=sand+creek

...Once you intersect with Hwy 16, go right (north) a few miles to the first Cache Creek Campgound on the left.

...Enter grounds, take Road 40 across creek (ignoring the worlds most ridiculous road sign)

...Take Rieff/Rayhouse Rd. to Knoxville/Berryessa Rd.

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=470961

...Close the loop by riding Knoxville/Berryessa around the west side of the lake and home.

.......Or......go North on Knoxville/Berryessa into Lower Lake, take Hwy 29 south to Middletown. About 1.5 miles south of Middletown, take Western Mine Rd (Ida Clayton Rd in Napa Co.) west into the Napa Valley (first 1/3 is dirt) where it intersects with Hwy 128.
...Then ride Silverado back or go up to Geyerville and test your tire edges on Stewart Point/Skaggs Springs and go see the Pacific.

Bluegroove....I'm interested. I've been wondering about Bear River Res. to Mud Lake or Bear River Res. to Highway 4 by FS roads...I proved you have to go further east on 4 than Arnold to get connecting roads to 88 from 4...I'm up for any day ride...no single track prefer FS roads as I'm on a GS and not still crazy..Unfortunately work keeps getting in my way...what are you thinking?

Been wanting to go up high again since the assault thing. I've been just too busy with all nature of things.

Planning a camping/ohv thing for august though...XR600 :clap

The broken rib is just a sore spot now, it's not slowing me down.

Farmer, I'll PM you my phone #. I'm starting to have second thoughts about the heat (even up high) but let's talk about it. Check your private messages.

No getting through there legally unless you have permission. The east side of Berryessa is a special management area, and I believe the eastern end of that route is a private road.

Yes, Yolo County Roads 40 (aka Rayhouse) and 41 (aka Sand Creek) are open, though they have ceased maintaining them. The western end of Rayhouse Road is messed up pretty good already, meaning a good line choice is needed for big bikes. There is no word yet if they will be closed during the wet season.

Oh it's definitely passable. I just give a warning to those with big bikes and street tires to take it easy through that section. Some of those ruts are deep enough now to require specific lines for those bikes.
