I have been lurking for 3 years or so... and just found a Sacramento thread. Wish it was a couple months ago... missed your ride. If anyone is interested in riding during the winter months please contact me. If not, I'll be ready to join in when the group is ready.

With the holidays going and a lot of the guys going to Death Valley Daze it has been a little slow for organized rides but lets plan something for early to mid Feb. I also thought we could plan a two-up road ride around Valentines day if some of you guys are interested in taking your wives along for a casual ride. (It might buy us a lot of kitchen passes this spring too)

So does anyone have any routes they would like to suggest? TOM

I leave Feb 5th for Cabo... finally going back to pick up F-350 and the BMW and hauling them home. Both could use some lovin' up here in Sacramento. The plan is to be home Feb 13th and a ride with the Mrs. would be great. So weather permitting and if the border cooperates we would enjoy a ride on the 14th.

As for Monday... I have 250 miles left on break in with the new SE. If somebody is willing to put up with a sputtering, coughing, wheezing KTM... and the weather holds. I'd be in... cris

We are doing a Delta ride on 1/27. We start at a few different places, and have our delta ride start at the Home Depot in South Sac. It's an all day ride with lunch in Rio Vista, and a couple of ferry rides to some delta islands. No dirt on this ride, but it will be a blast. (it was last year) Check out the ride at Gold Country Dual Sport Riders, www.gcdsr.com or www.MyDualSport.com

    Hi All,
I can't make it on Monday, the 21st but I'm in for the 14th on a 2 up ride. I know I'll need it by then after resting up from DVD on the 650...probably bring the GS or LT on the 14th..

The 14th is a Thursday. Don't you people have jobs? I can understand if you want to do a week day ride but otherwise Saturday Feb 16th or Sunday Feb 17th might work better for more people.

I was talking to some others about the delta ride and might do it. I flaked on a Gold Country Dual Sports ride this morning that sounded good but was all single cylinder bikes going and I'm still beating around a R100GS. TOM

    Sharkysam1,

Thanks for the information, I just submitted an application to join the group. The Valentine's Day ride would be better on the weekend... yes, we both work as well. :D I look forward to meeting some locals and riding with friends again... in BCS and up here... it's the wife or solo for many years now. All my previous riding partners either grew up (married, children & promises of never riding again) or moved away. Thanks again... cris

I'm out. Something family related got moved to this date. This ride didn't seem like it was going to really take off but if it does you guys have a good ride.

I've got a Birthday party to go to on that weekend. But I might be up for a ride on the 16th.
Some dirt is ok but I don't have knobs on my tires so muddy stuff I would rather avoid.
    Maybe a ride towards Stonyford?
    Lake county?

Sounds good, but I think I'm gonna take my XR4 up around Lake Shasta this weekend to celebrate Lincolns birthday, or something like that.
    Maybe next time......
