Just riding buddies, and riding buddies of riding buddies. :thumb One's Level of Insanity should peg the "I'm Nuts" meter - it's always a help when seeking fun.

Actually I found these guys through the organ donor registry. They were a match for my blood and tissue types, so it's like riding with spare parts, should the going get tough!:deal

That's a fun route ya'll did. We run that a couple/few times a year with our Tour groups.
When you guys did it (we did it 3/10, just after you) I'd call it a medium-skill level as it changes drastically with storms.
I've done it when the water is 3'+ deep, incredibly overgrown, super washed-out on both of the grades, and almost all boulders thru the canyon.
I've also done it when it's incredibly easy.
Just a word of warning to anyone considering it... expect the worst post-hurricane and better yet is to not try it unless you hear first-hand it's passable since the most recent storm.

    Tim,

I wish we'd have gotten to run into each other out there. It would have been very cool to meet you. Only six days apart....so close.

Great Ride Report! Dert Gerl and I were going to ride that route on 3/18. She had been through there before on a 450, but we thought better of it because we were on the big bikes, and didn't have any information on the current conditions. Looks like we made the right decision.:D

Going to have to take the little bikes next trip and tackle that trail. Looks like fun! No trail is gonna get away from me twice.:freaky

    Hey Tim,

We just missed you guys too. We were down there from 3/14 to 3/22. Krust and I were going to do the canyon, but decided not to on the big bikes. We had an F800GS and a 990. I remember being whooped doing that ride when I was with you guys on the Cabo ride about 5 years ago. I think I'da been camping out too trying to get my 800 through.

    Donna

    P.S. Great ride report guys!
