Oh yeah, there is plenty to tell and right now my life is more busy then ever :D

Yes it is a new chapter. After all this hassle in LATAM it feels easy to deal with all the issues back in Germany even though the German bureaucracy is very close to the one in LATAM :y0!

I imagine mañana isn't a thing in Germany! What a culture shock you must be in for. Congratulations for perseverance in the face of adversity and overcoming the barriers you encountered and you made it to Ushuaia when it looked bleak. Bravo!

Although I have not followed since the start and I wondered about your decisions sometimes but I can say that this RR had me awaiting each installment.
Your perseverance through some pretty discouraging situations showed me that obstacles are merely that. They can be overcome with patience, time, hard work and somedays "manana". I await the summary and the next stage of the adventure but you have earned some down time. Give Skippi a hug from us all.

And I repeat.... You sir are an ADV rockstar.

Congrats on your journey and making it home....must feel strange after being on the road for 3 years.

Enjoyed following your posts and videos, and your helpful advice about sidecar with dog, since I will be starting my RTW Journey with my dog in sidecar in a few weeks.

Overall, did your dog do OK ?
Did dog do OK when it was really hot out ?

Thanks and I keep you all updated...

yeah - RTW ride is nothing for pussies :jack

There might be a tomorrow in Germany BUT if somebody says tomorrow it IS tomorrow and typically there is a sharp time attached to like 11:11, which means it is 11:11.
I learned already earlier at my work that Finns are a bit different. There is already more relaxed and more like "we do our best to achieve 11:11". 15 years in project management taught me a lot about timing:y0!

Thanks for your kind words and the adventure will continue one way or the other...:wings:jkam

Thanks and yes there will be more coming...

Right now I can only access secure webpages (https) with my Mac for some strange reasons and I have to use Skippy's PC (if she is away from it).:lurk

Actually I feel relieved. No more foreign language, I know (more or less) how things work here and how they are handled ... it's so easy :D

    About the dog(s):
Ulpu and Lyra did not do ok. They started to panic and that was the reason why Skippy went from Colombia back to Europe. Those two like to travel in the stroller and via train and bus.
Peto has no problems with the sidecar. He likes it there. He did not like the coldness of Patagonia so here I had to track him out of the warm room into the cold weather.

we rode through freezing cold weather -5C, mix of snow + rain, +40C (in shade) and so on.
When it was hot, I stopped often in shade and gave the dogs plenty of water.
When it was cold, the dogs were warmly dressed, covered under blankets and again frequent stops so they could move a bit and get warmer.

Essential in all that was that the sidecar protected the dogs from bad weather, from the sun in hot weather. It would have been real cruel to ride along in an open sidecar with the dogs exposed to all the heavy weather.
