Yeah - that is the plan to get more sixpacks (even though it is a really stretched target for me). I know that site from other bicyclists I met on the
    road - thanks anyway!

I am already really excited to pedal :deal

The aftermath of riding across South America with a dog on a side car

A short summary of what I experienced in South America (1H2016).

    Some additional notes:
    - As an European I did not need any Visa in any of the countries I have been.
    - I did not need at any point a Carnet de Passage.
    - It is possible to get a vehicle insurance which covers: Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. Insurance for Colombia is mandatory and was obtained at Suramericana www.sura.com. Ecuador, no insurance required.

I was in total shock when I came to my old home, saw this jungle and shitty house. I was almost crying...

Welcome home Wolfie! I find it ironic that you and Skippy were at times shocked and demoralized by the dirty, trashy condition of places you traveled, yet when you get back to your own home it resembles those "Third World" places. Your messy tenants shake-up my stereotype of Finns as neat and tidy people! While it certainly will be a lot of unanticipated work to clean things up, with your strong will and perseverance, I'm sure you will bring your home back to normal very soon. Hang in there.

Nice summary of the trip, thanks for sharing it with us.

Bummer to come home to a mess, dirty house, overgrown yard, some little things missing BUT...at least the tenants did not burn down the trees in your garden, or steal all your appliances, or operate a drug laboratory with toxic chemicals in your kitchen, or let the water pipes freeze and then break open with water damage everywhere.....and so on. You will have the place back in shape in no time and hopefully, Skippy will be there soon to help.

Although Skippy is (was) enjoying her independence, her bicycle trip has illuminated something she forgot, when things are not going well, it sure is nice to have someone to lean on for support.

I know it is - cheers to that:jkam:beer:happay

Howdy Steven and thanks for the supporting words:*sip* Oh yeah, Finns can be real idiots, assholes and dirty as hell even vegan Finns:deal
Once more it just showed that my level of expectation was far too high. By assuming that I will find my garden ruined and the house broken, I would have been positively surprised in how good condition the property is :kumbaya

Once more a tiny step for mankind and a huge step for me:pynd:rayof

hehe - NOW it is beautiful and I start to shiver on the thought of the cold, wet autumn which is so dark that it literally sucks the light out of everything like a black hole. Besides that I am seriously in shock about the prices in Finland compared to Germany and I do not feel like getting used to it (again):jkam

Jawohl - Jede Stunde :kumbaya zählt, also macht das Beste draus:happay

Finland Roadtrip Aug2016 - Episode one: sidecar meeting, Punkaharju, Kerimäki and Koli

It was time for a road trip in Finland - my first proper journey with this sidecar in Finland! At first I visited the stunning sidecar meeting, rode around the beautiful Punkaharju followed by visiting the worlds biggest wooden church in Kerimäki. Ukko-Koli was all in clouds this time.
