For anyone interested, I'm working on a 1,000 mile adventure route through South Carolina. We are not normally known for our adventure riding here, and I wanted an option closer to home for times when I only have a day or two to burn. Follow the SCAR Facebook group for updates (sorry, but I only want to have to post updates in one place). GPX files will be ready by Spring (for free).

    Peace out!
    Kris

** UPDATE ** Route is completed and was released March 1st, 2020. Downloads are available at www.scadventureroute.com

Sounds like a plan . I just put a request in on your FB page. But sorry I'm not going to be much help. But definitely interested in keeping up with your hard work.

    Peace

That would be a great route. I have friends in Long Creek that would be interested. We do a lot around LC, but it mostly goes into Georgia and on up into NC.

Excellent! South Carolina's closer to me than most of the other BDRs. Looking forward to seeing (and riding) your route.

Looking forward to the ride report! I'll be curious to hear what your pavement-to-off-road ratio is.

Yes I'd like that information also. I'll be back east in May for cataract surgery and was thinking about coming to ride the SCAR and possibly part of the SEAT.

Coming down South for March Moto Madness in Tellico, TN. on the 26-29 but will have some time to visit Greenville, SC. area for a few days.
Going to Camp at Anderson/Hartwell KOA just off I85 and HW187. March 18-21. I am going to try to ride the North section of the "SCAR"
I have been watching the Vid's on YouTube and it looks like you are developing a great route for Adventure Riders.:clap

Hey guy's here's some pics of the route through the Francis Marion National Forest area in the South Eastern part of the state. I'm hoping to ride from Edisto Island and somewhere up north this Friday...work schedule permitting.
