"iOS 12 only"... is that going to be true of the final version, or just the beta?
Final version will be ios12 and up. (Beta is not yet compatibility tested for ios13. Not below ios12 because I need to move forward and be future proof. Lots of new functionalities since ios9 (which current version is based on). The current version will remain available for older ios versions, but like mentioned data won't sync between Scenic 1 and Scenic 2 after initial migration. Hope you understand.

I signed up, but have an interesting “concern”, my AppleID is not the same email as my Scenic1 account is set up under.
Will that still work?
Also - the wording in the beta “expectations” is interesting to me with regard to one thing:
Can you explain how our Scenic 1 “premium forever” license carries over to Scenic 2 once it is released? Offline maps that have been purchased?
It's OK if your Scenic email is different from your Apple ID email. The Apple ID email is necessary because the beta runs through Apple's Testflight App.
For the premium licence, credits and maps, Yes, it will carry over to Scenic 2. It's part of the migration. I'll adjust the wording in the form to emphasize that. Thanks for pointing this out.

I read the information about data syncing between the two apps, but to be clear: If I install the beta today, and 3 months from now I choose to go back to scenic 1, will all my scenic 1 data up to today's use be available for my re-installation of scenic 1? In other words, will I be able to pick up scenic 1 right where I left it after temporarily using scenic 2? I don't want to permanently lose any of my scenic 1 data to the scenic 2 beta test...

For the beta testers: Could you TURN ON CRASH REPORTING please? I use Apple's crash reporting, however I only get your crash reports if you enable this in:
iOS Settings > Privacy > Share iPhone (& Watch) Analytics > Share With App Developers
curious if I'm the only one.....v1.99b9
anytime it tries to calculate a route, it gets stuck with the spinning wheel of death "calculating route". The b9 release note says that it "Fixed: Crash or continued spinner when calculating route".
Anyone else still have this issue?

I downloaded the beta version. Migration to v2 didn’t work for me on the first try. I got this message:
I closed the app and tried again a couple hours later and it worked fine that time.
Could you please use the beta feedback button or testflight app feedback, to give feedback on beta. Then I all get it in my mailbox.
Just to let you know: still no "invite," in case that's something you might like to know. Not sure how this process works, though, happy to wait it out...
The invite comes from TestFlight. What's your email? One person entered an incorrect email.
I'll need to look into why this is happening with your account. Would you mind giving me your Scenic 1 password? Or, alternatively I can reset that and you can change it again later.
