I decided to stay in Auburn that night. I'd asked around but nobody could confidently recommend a good campsite so I called the Hampton and booked a room. Then I buzzed around Auburn, stopping at another cemetery to see relatives who have passed. I sat in the shade of a tree next to the graves of my maternal grandparents and a couple uncles. I noticed my chain hanging a bit low so I tightened it before riding away. The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. I didn't go inside because I've been here a few times, and I think it was closed anyway. But this really is a terrific museum.
