That's just a mock up they did for MCN using the SC frame as a base. But it should be along those lines....frankly I have high hopes....that silhouette on the title screen for the video looks promising.:evil

They had spy shots of the prototype rolling around bologna, and the exhaust was slung under the engine and then up with a stubby can...but that could have changed.

Be pretty hard since about 2 dozen motorcycle manufacturers have been using the term since the 1950's...

Bikes like the mid-60's Honda 250 and 305 Scramblers, just to name one.

Hell, Ducati even had 250 and 450 Scramblers back in the late '60's, whereas Triumph didn't use the term back then.

Here's some more info on the bike, and some pictures, too...

Yeah no kidding...I thought it was abit of an odd thing to claim copyrighted considering. Personally, I think there might be a caviate in there somewhere, like "Ducati Scambler" is copyrighted or something.

As for the the links, thanks Dallara....the second two I've read before, but the first one gives a nice silhoutte of the bike and a good idea of what it will look like...personally...Im liking what Im seeing so far!

Funny...I had a dream I found an old 450 Ducati Scrambler in my granfathers barn last night:lol3.....visions of the future??:deal

Yep...and if it is as affordable as they say...it will be ripe for customization:evil

You better believe a few of these will end up in the hands of some of the bigger custom builders on the scene...especially considering the demographic they're aiming at. I imagine the stock set up will be less than ideal for some, aimed more towards a wider audience which is blood in the water for shops like Deus EX, Analog Moto, Classified...hell maybe even Walt Siegle or Roland sand...although Sand's would probably just muck it up:lol3

I don't think it'll look anything like that. Which is an extremely good thing. If they built that I don't think I'd be able to resist buying one.

Actually after having a look at those stills again...and the sketch, it looks to me like they might be pulling the handlebars from the Diavel parts bin...the sweep looks very similar.

To me, it looks like a tidied up XR1200X.

    I hope it's a great success.
