I know there are lots of creative folks here. Just got a small welder recently and in addition to actually fixing some stuff occasionally I have made a few goofy things. I'm interested in seeing what you guys have made out of the plethora of broken bike parts lying around the shop.

I have a couple other ideas in mind but I would love to see anything you guys have made. Ideas are always appreciated. A couple of guys over in Old School have made a few really awesome things, if you search around the "Friday Picture Thread." Its a fun link, anyway.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

These are not mine, they are a buddies, he collects old jewelry at yard sales and turns them into these "bugs". He's got talent and has found quite the market for them. He's a paramedic and he say's creating these helps him stay on an even keel. They sell in the $hundreds$. Most shipping to Japan.

That'd be cool, this is really great. :D

Those bugs really are quite well done. wow.

The bull is pretty impressive- Is there a term of art for when a thing is made up of found objects to represent a thing, like the bike with hex keys for forks, as compared to the Bull which is mostly outlined with stuff, but very limited direct analogy in terms of piece chosen does this make any sense at all?

I get either Manson or Jesus, it runs about 50/50 :rofl

While out knocking around Arkansas a couple months ago, I came upon these made from old automotive junk:
