My buddy Todd and I just got back from a 4 day loop starting at the Narrows ( near Burns, OR ). Big thanks to inmate Liv2day for sharing tracks from his excellent ride report “Alone in the Oregon Outback-7 days of solo”

It was a great trip, as usual to short. SE Oregon continues to deliver.

I was out and about in that area around the same time, Sept 6-10. It was a great time to not be in Western Oregon and the fires and smoke. Apex of the trip was more or less Three Corners. Went to the Warm Spring Creek on the Owyhee as well. Many other sights.

Awesome @satchmo3! Good on you for getting out there to make this ride happen, especially with the chaos that's transpired since Labor Day.

Be interested to see a map with tracks overlaid of where you went; can't think of a dry lake on the way from Narrows to Willow Crk? And you guys must have bombed to Denio Jct to get that shot of the NV state line?

Looks like a sweet camp spot along the Owyhee, somewhere north of Rome? How long did you end up spending in the pools at Warm Springs, took a strong act of will power to make myself get out of that wonderful water and make some chow...lol.

Damn, I miss being over there.

Appreciate you taking the time to post the pics and get the report crafted. If you have more pics, post 'em...helps with the non-riding blues :lol2 :lol2

    Thanks Liv2day!
On day 1 out of Narrows we dropped down a few miles north of Mickey Hot Springs, there are some smaller dry lake beds there before you hit the hot springs heading south. On day 2 were good with fuel range but couldn’t carry enough water it was so hot (100F ), we blew through a gallon each staying hydrated. When we left Willow Creek heading East ( on your track :) ) we detoured south for water on 95 to Mcdermitt NV at the border, only about 15 miles away. That Owyhee spot you went to was awesome, there were some people camped, so we camped on the hillside just above the hotsprings.
The second night camped on the Owyhee was about 30 miles north of Rome, a spot we scouted last year but couldn’t get to because my buddy was on his 1090 and it wasnt happening, steep and rocky..
I’ll try to post the tracks.
