I am interested in doing this, but only have bigger bikes. Have ridden most of that area in the past. Can you share the route so i can better assess my ability to participate? Telegraph-Ajax-Mineral-Coke oven or Box canyon - mineral - Coke or from the south Cocheran?
    Thanks

This is what I rode on Saturday and unless anyone else wants to take a different route it will be close to what we'll ride next Saturday. I've done this ride a few times on my DR650 and would not want to do it on any heavier bike than that. Some of the hill climbs are a bitch to get up if you loose momentum on a big bike. I've never been able to climb Devil's Backbone on my DR.

It's precisely why I did the prerun but unfortunately the 22 jeeps impeded me getting there. If they're still closed there are many other options for us to go. This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of one of those pesky hill climbs.

You know I'm incessantly tinkering with routing. I heard a few mention that they enjoyed last year's route which was meant to be more flowing rather than just punishing. I've created a route that takes some of the best spots of the normal route (Devil's Backbone, Honda Hill, Hell's Gate, Ajax wash...) and combined it with some of the stuff we did on the west part of Mineral Mountain which is more flowy and less harsh. If people are interested in checking that one out instead I'd be game. The only issue is that it starts at a spot that is not our normal staging area. It is neither last year's spot (which was fantastic) nor at the High School. I don't see any mention of staging area in the first post but I assume that you guys want to stage out of the High School(?) If so, this route wouldn't work but it would be better for the guys coming from the west side since it's a few miles closer. We'd also have to see about a different place for lunch since I'm sure people wouldn't want to go back into Superior after we're done.

    Attached are the tracks.

That SxS does add a degree of difficulty to that step. Is it ok to ride over the body panels or only on the wheels? Asking for a friend.....:dic

The plan is to run the first loop Cyberdos posted leaving from the parking lot of the high school we have used for most of the Coke Ovens runs. First post updated and the route map shows the exact location of the staging area.
