I don't post ride reports too often, because...well....I suck at it.

Well, I thought I would have a chance to finish this last night, but I had to help a friend pick up a new bike.

I will try to finish tonight.

So, it looks like I will never get this thing finished. Anyway, so I left Boise around 6am, heading west.

Sorry, I diden't have much time to stop and take pictures if I was going to make the 1,200 miles I had to cover that day. So I got alot of pic's of the road. I did stop at this place to warm up for a few minuits. It was in the mid 20s that morning. :vardy Good thing I brought my gerbings jacket. The place was cool. It had some neat artifacts collected from around the area.

So, after I could feel my fingers and toes again, I headed to Burns, OR. I gassed up in Burns, and decided that since I had never been to Nevada, I would hit 205 south to Denio. Down the road about 15 miles, I noticed that I was going west insted! Fuck! I just went 30 miles out of my way! That's why you guys use GPS units! :lol3 Well, I got back on track, and was on my way finally.

I haden't seen anyone in 100 miles. I had my fuel light on for a while, and was starting to worry. I made the stop to empty the MSR bottle that I carry an emergency liter of fuel I have in place of my charcoal canister. There should be a gas station any second now......

    did I read that right?

1200 miles in one day on an X-Challenge?? :eek1

1200 miles in one day on ANYTHING is a long slog. Let alone a 650 d/s single.

I made it! With the last fumes escaping as I opened the cap, I filled it up! I was in some dusty bend of a gas stop just a few miles to Denio. The guy at the station called the next place down the road to check if their fuel was on that day, and to see if there were things for me to watch out for. Dude said go for it, open her up!

    Aww...Missed the 101mph shot! Not bad for a 650 at 4,500ft!

Ok, enough messing around. Gotta get back to more comfortable average speed. Slower is faster, slower is faster. Ready!

The seat started to suck at 700 miles. I still can't feel my right hand.

Keep in mind that's adjusted for Omar. It'd be about 150 in standard fatass miles.

Shame you're in a happy relationship. :rofl
