I wonder what Todd is doing. He was the only one there I ever rated. I was always amused that Vint finally exceeded whatever the firing threshold was.

If you say anything like "what happened to your hair" you're lost to me :D

Last I heard, he was at some shop in Vancouver. What rating did you give him?

Maybe too many customers had to make two trips to get the right part?

Or, maybe they got to many complaints of him making up his own prices?

    You had hair?

I was buying tubes once and Vint told me that the 990 rear tire was to hard to get off the bead and I'd be better off calling AAA.

    I was stunned.

Ahhh, I wonder also. Powerslider was my salesman when I dropped Steve's demo ride back in 2007, and he first turned me on to ADV...after I bought the bike. Todd did Punkin's first valve check. Vint,...well,...Vint was a misplaced used car salesman for sure. At least his name was easy to remember. Ahhh the memories...

I need to get over to see See See. Thor has certainly been a major contributor to the local motorcycle community.

They are having a side walk sale this Saturday. I'm flying to Europe at 1pm so not sure I make it but they said many items (oil etc) 30% off.

Take some burned out piston or valve you can annotate for the collection at the coffee shop.

Got home with the tube and realized a HD tube doesn't pack well. Thought I would take it back and trade it in for a normal tube next time I drove in to Ptown. Vint tells me there will be a restocking charge. Another wtf moment. He really meant it. The Vint stories are many.

I haven't got the chance to stop by See See but hear good things

I had one of the changeover 2007 year 450s where the clutch switched from Magura to Brembo. It said "dot 3 brake fluid only" on the clutch cylinder but Vint told me this wasn't correct and I needed to buy and use their expensive Magura mineral oil. When I called and said this was really bad advice, he basically blew me off. I called Todd, he cursed a bunch and said bring the bike in. He installed all the rebuild kits at their expense as the mineral oil had f'ed up all the internal parts. I used to overhear Vint bullshitting customers and just shake my head.

Even in the 90's I got the feeling Steve didn't want to be there. I always wondered if he had regrets not selling the business to Rick.

I'm about due for a chain and sprockets, plus can always use coffee so I'll check out See See.

There is a VooDoo shop across the street...they are yummy! I make a point to buy something there, even if it's just oil. Found some nice EVS Travis Pastrana Knee Pads in there last time I was "shopping" - I figured that guy ought to know fall protection.
