Made several attempts to Sell my 1978 100/7 with no takers.
I have decided to find a BMW mechanic that is in need of a Paying Client.
I have a Budget that has enough room to complete the Dream.
Please PM me if you have the Knowledge and attitude to take on my Offer!
I have posted plenty of Pic's in the Airhead Thread but here are a couple so you can see the Promise available. BMW Kickstand.jpg BMW Kickstand.jpg BMW Bing.jpg

Met the Mechanic today, scanned the Beemer and introduced my To Do List.
Within 2 hours I had an Estimate in hand. Lots of Issues to cover and the Total for All Parts came to just over 2K.
I made the call and set a meeting to figure the Transport to his home and finalize the Contract.
I will make the money for Parts available so he can begin ordering.
    New Tires and Tubes
All Rubber, Fuel Lines, Push Rod Seals, Fork Dust Covers, Carb Mount Tubes, O Rings...
Brake system, Master cylinder, Cable, Fluids
    Rebuild Bing Carbs
    Head Gaskets
    Push Rod Tubes
    Bearings
    Clutch
    Filters Air & Oil
    Oil and Gear Oil
    Throttle Cable
    Battery
    Install Kill Switch
    Sales Tax
I have no issues with the Prices that were quoted and I will be happy to Straddle Red Smoke in the near Future.
I have also contacted Wirespoke and he will accept the Speedometer Rebuild.

Steps Taken to revive the /7.
Sent the Pod north to Wirespoke for Tender Loving Care.
Attended my first Airhead Tech day in Murritta Ca.
    Purchased a replacement rear fender.
Made an attempt to enlist a Mechanic. Received an estimate that I could work with. Sent E-Mail to mechanic to begin the process.
I have had No contact from the mechanic for 2 weeks... Bad Sign?
Communication is almost as Valuable as the Contract.
I shall continue the search for a Mechanic but have not completely wrote off my first choice.
I will attempt to contact him once more before I Erase his name from my Project List.

    Beemer Down the Shitter!!!!!
I have had to pull the plug on my BMW Project until further notice.
Seems the Wife prefers a Functional Toilet and a Bath Tub that Drains.
Full Sewer Stoppage has taken the lead in the Project Front. A $2000 Hit so she can Shit!
Very Disappointed! Paid the Deposit and work starts tomorrow at 9AM.
All of my Expendable Cash is now being Flushed down the Shitter.
I have committed to the Speedo Pod rebuild from Wirespoke and will honor that deal.
Hope to gather a few Parts and Pieces in the mean while.
