Did the same for some time on a Multistrada -- paired everything with the bike. It made it more cumbersome, with the only advantage being that I could use media controls on the handlebar. Whoopty do.

Early on I attempted to run everything through my nav V - very tricky and annoying and of questionable value. Gained some functionality at the expense of other and upped the complexity exponentially making everything largely unstable. Bleh.

The Sena 50s worked perfectly this weekend. I took the Dash out of the equation. With the Dash it is a pain.

One thing I was using with my 20S is a little bluetooth media button. Specifically, this one:

The handlebar clip works great around the base of my mirror stalk. The button pairs with my phone, so what comm unit you use is irrelevant.

The voice command media controls on the 50S are nice, and maybe the button is no longer needed, but I keep it around as it provides easy access.

Ordered the 10, but it didn't have a earphone jack, so sent it back and ordered a 50s. Hopefully this will sync reliably with my SR10. One of my CB groups indicat they will probably be switching to Sena 50s after this years ride. I bet my GWRRA groups switch in a couple of years. Until then, I'll have my Midland and SR10!

Oooh please let me know how that goes. I rigged up an SM10 to take audio from the "rear speaker" port on my wife's RT because BMW's onboard BT blows.

I’m glad to hear it. Shame the dash wasn’t in play but still a good experience it seems?

Experienced a strange phenomenon today. It was easily repeatable, so perhaps something in the software? Anyway when using headphones, then using Google, as sound returns to the previous function (music) volume of the music is very high for a few seconds until the unit realizes it should be lower and takes it down.

Just updated my 50S to the latest firmware, but there are no release notes for this version on Sena's website. Anyone know what they fixed?

Got mine on Friday, did all the updates (we got 4 of them) Tried out today, worked well, but, my buddies have not installed yet, so did not get to try out mesh. Sound was about the same for me, coming from a 20s.

Has anyone had any luck with Sena voice commands? I’ve not been able to get any recognized whatsoever. I confirmed when u was updating the firmware today that the voice command function was enabled. I also know the mic works, as I’ve had phone conversations, and can also activate Siri by voice. No luck, though, with Sena voice commands, not even in the house.

Could you tell me if you have problems with signal drop using this controller. I have been using a Chubby button and at first it seem ok but now it seems to be dropping the signal a heck of a lot and the two units are only about 12-18" apart.

Does anyone know where these sets are manufactured? China? Taiwan? Korea? Malaysia?

Mine say China. Too bad, my older SMH 10 and 10C pro both said Korea.
