hmmm. Now that I'm only 500 or so miles away, I might just have to come. Just have to figure out how to carry more fuel on my new bike and how to get time off from a new job.

I would love to visit, if only to prove to MB that there are far worse fishermen than he. I'm certain he'd outfish me, and a mosquito would never touch him cause I'm a fucking magnet for the little bastards. Unfortunately, home projects that have been put off many times before are coming to roost. But if I fuck up and burn the whole house down before then, I'll be out!

I'm feeling much better now that I've got a day off. Now, I have to be in Vancouver WA that Monday so this might be quite interesting for someone new to the PNW.

Got myself a cool 3 liter aluminum bottle, so unless the problem that makes my new bike freak out and go into limp mode isn't fixed, I am in .

That is pretty easy, its an easy paced 2 day ride, and push come to shove you could make it in one long day. I'm leaving Sunday morning to get pack to Portland on Monday afternoon, and I won't need to hurry. Granted, it is a lot more fun to take 4-5 days and wonder around eastern Oregon and Washington on some dirt, but it is really only about 600 miles if you take a direct route.
