You guys should just give up . . . I'm a nightmare! All over the place, from the TW200 to the KTM 350, and everything in-between! I even kinda have my eye on a 50cc Ruckus! Maybe the problem is, I just want an entire garage full of bikes. And really, it's true, this is not a bike thread, it's a long-over (waaaahhh!!!) ride report. But thanks for all the banter and links and suggestions . . . I'm on this thing way way too much looking and reading about all the options!

I don't think I would bother with the 350EXC over the 500EXC, they are same chassis. Therefore seat height would be same. The 350 is even the same engine as the 500 only smaller bore and stroke. There is only 4kg weight difference in the two bikes and at most shops I have seen the price difference is less then a G between the two. The only advantage I can see is that here in BC a sub 400cc bike is much cheaper to insure. The local suspension shops can easily take a couple inches off the ride height and with a shaved or low seat would be another inch.

    Hi Allison!
We're just a bunch of bike lovers sittin' round the virtual campfire BS'n about bikes after a great virtual ride. We're not hurting anyone and the Mods seem fine with it so what's the problem? There is no pressure for you to rush out and buy a bike next week or at all. There are some some interesting suggestions and ideas popping up. Maybe we can learn somthing too. I'd rather be here shooting the shit than watching TV!!
    Regards....just jeff

Good thing you all reminded me about the garage, I forgot to light the furnace out there and my pressure washer would have frozen and died. While I was out there I took a pic of my 690 for you. The seat measures 34.7 high for real world reference. I have a 29 inch inseam in socks and weigh 215. Sitting on the bike I can nearly flat foot it both sides on level ground. I also have 30 lbs of gear normally on the bike. MOTO porn :

And with that, well, we have to leave it here. I've been very gently and politely requested to shut this down finally. We knew it was coming and here it is.

You have all been fabulous. I'm so completely, utterly gruntled I swayed to write a ride report and gather all of you to come along. I can't begin to describe the "gift" you've been to me. Thank you.

And I'm certain it's not "goodbye!" I'll be watching for your next ride and you can do the same . . . "She Rides" will likely pop up again on your screen at some point down the road. I hope you come along on that journey too. I promise I'll figure out how to get those danged pictures on kilter before then!
