I'm not sure it's a New Year anymore, plenty of it feels long done by now already.
Are you saying I have big ears?:eek1
You know what they say about men with big ears...
Actually, jfman, I've heard rumors of men with big feet but big ears? Ummm, no, afraid I do not know what they say. Care to elaborate???
I get pangs of jealousy reading about your planned ride this summer.... especially the "summer" part! I hope it's as phenomenal and profound as mine was for me. If you want to banter about details, I'd be happy to chat offline...just PM me....
Still not sure where and when I'll go this summer....kids schedules, dad's 80th, state of finances are all up in the air but I'll nail it down eventually and hit the road with another She Rides... hopefully with pictures on kilter this time!
Saw this today and couldn't help but smile...................lots of reasons for people to ride here
Good one Clipper, you're right Al, a bunch of posts went AWOL?
My friendly Newfoundlanders hanging in here with me! No wonder I keep wanting to go back.... Oh, and of course your link too, Clipper! Must be a glitch on the website or 3 or 4 people simultaneously decided to delete their posts!
More likely the mods clipping out the surfing stuff as unrelated to the thread. Good to see you are still kicking! Riding season coming here soon.
Just Jeff! You're alive too! Nice idea but then why would they have removed northofhope's post which was totally relevant?
Yeah, it's been almost balmy here on the "right" coast lately. Yesterday I was spontaneously about to take someone up on an offer to rent my cottage for April and ride south for the month but then I remembered I'm going to Calgary mid-month so my bottom lip is jutting out profusely.
Suck it up Buttercup! Must be something pretty attractive in Cowtown to shut down a month long ride!
You're just mean. And yes. Important family stuff going down in Calgary.
Wim and I hit the road east on May 23 heading for the Gaspe and then Cape Breton. We won't get to Newfoundland this year but it's on the list for sure. I only have a couple of weeks after spending half the winter in Southeast Asia but hey - I got to spend half the winter in Southeast Asia . . .
And yes Alison, I'll add some photos to the the meagre thread that was my three day bike ride in Cambodia.
BikerAl.....I just ran across this RR the other day although I've been lurking here for five years or more. You certainly have many things going for you that attracted many friends, who also seem to have many great things going for them. All in all, it turned into one of the best RR's that I've ever read and I've read hundreds of them over the years.
Hopefully I'll be able to join in when you leave on your next adventure so that I can get more of a "play by play" as it happens. Thanks for all that you did to make this what it was! You're a real well talented gal. (coffee!)

Well welcome to my ride, oldone! Better late than never and thanks for the kind review! Suppose when I finally figure my next ride out I'll post something on here to let you all know "she rides" again! Would love to have every last one of you along this next time too, even Reaver!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this post/ride report. It isn't often that these vicarious adventure bring a smile to a person heart but this one sure does. Thanks. J.
You are welcome, Oldrnger. My gruntled pleasure!
