Hi , I’ve not seen a Sherco thread on here so I thought I’d start one !
There’s not much information on these bikes, as the bikes are new in Britain.i believe they have been out in Australia for a while so maybe we’ll find out !
I bought this bike last week so I’ve not had much time in the saddle , but so far it’s more agile in the woods then my 350 excf, and has loads of power.
The handlebar position needs adjusting, but apart from that the bike feels good! IMG_3235.jpg

Any information on the bike welcome!
    Thanks

Got some wraparound hand guards to fit, although the stock ones are quite good, better to be safe!

It’s a lonely place this Sherco thread!! IMG_3277.jpg

how much time do you have on that sherco now? I’m torn between what to buy next, I love my 2019 sherco 300 factory trials. I’m worried about going sherco for enduro, over Ktm or beta with more dealers and parts

2020 Sherco 300 SEF Factory. Love it. Miles of smiles. 1400 miles to be exact and 76 hours. I got it in August of last year.

    Hi
I’ve done about 20 hours on the bike so far because of the world shit!, but I’m on a proper ride this weekend so I’ll report back.
As for getting a beta, ktm, I’ve found most bits I’ve needed in line so it hasn’t been a problem, but it does depend where you are in the world. Sherco may have grown this year , but who knows after this year!

So I was out today on a five hour rideover woods single track and some steep climbs. IMG_3795.jpg

What I’m finding is the clutch is to heavy, I will have to try removing two springs and see if that helps. By the end of the day down some big rocks descents my hand so cooked!
The riding position seems a bit cramped and doesn’t give to standing,so I find I’m sitting on places were I would normally stand. It hasn’t been a problem so far but I noticed it more to day, that said the bike still performs well, I can’t white put my finger on it. Maybe the footpegs could do with lowering a bit. The bike feels right sitting down but not when standing.
I got back a changed the oil, now I reckon I’ve done about 18-20 hours of plodding since March so it was time for a change. The bike was serviced before a bought it so this was my first change.
Glad I did coz the oil and filter were very dirty but no bits !! IMG_3805.jpg

It’s a bit of a job with three different plugs to remove, and the magnet plug was a little rounded wich was a pain.
    I’ve used motul 7100 , so I’ll see how it go’s.
    Any thoughts on the footpegs??

Start doing leg day at the gym and get lower in your attack position. If you're familiar with horseriding then id say the sherco ergos are designed for a gallop rather than a rising trot. Dont plod, ride it hard in anger and throw it round like a ragdoll and then youll see what the shercos are about.
I just take out the magnetic drain plug when changing the oil. Careful you dont overtighten it or it'll strip. Ive been using cheap synthetic oil for the last 10,000km on my 300sef. Havent adjusted a valve yet, and the top end still has plenty of life left.

I ride trails so I do ride fast and slow stuff , like I say I do need more saddle time. I’ll be changing the magnetic plug next time as former owner has rounded it I bit!
    Thanks

I purchased this new leftover about a month ago.
I put guards on it and finally got to ride it for a full day yesterday. Put 75 miles on it . Trails and dirt roads. Everything went well.
I am glad the power is smooth and controlled.
