Short but memorable Old Houwhoek Pass, Cape Town

This is 5km (3miles) old mountain pass that runs next to an old railway line. Some sites rate it a 4x4 pass but I've now managed it twice with my wife riding pillion on our 80/20 tyres.





The interesting and sad thing is bettween our first and 2nd ride (one month apart) there were fires on the mountain. You can see the difference in the videos.







On the way home we detoured to have our home-packed lunch on Strand beach.
