:rofl Hi guys, this is a 14 hours round trip to the mountains near Monterrey-Saltillo, Mexico.
We planned some short distance only to take the dust out of the bikes. but after couple hundred miles, we decided to go little further (as always).

We agreed to meet at 7:00 am at one of the convenience store in the way out of the city. After 1 hour the group got complete.

here is a picture of the three early birds.

it was sunday morning, so was expected that almost everybody would arrive little late (you know saturday nigh barbeque).

So we started riding and soon the hungry made us stop por a delicious tacos (grilled and choped steak) at China Nuevo Leon. This Steak taco stands are right before the town. So if you see them on your trips do not hesitate and stop by to have a good breakfast.

once you stop, the smell of the steak don't let you go on until you have a full stomach. Sorry no photos of the Tacos. (next time).

After replenish ourselves, we stoped at Caderyeta to revise the route and not waste time. The idea was to go directly to Presa La Boca (The Boca Dam).

    Lets go on guys !!

after a good road with curves we were approaching to the La boca Lake.

this is a natural cave, despite looks like human built.

I think my skills to take pictures while riding and pointing backwards over my shoulder, should improve, so this is one of the two that came up good

There is only Photo I was able to take of the lake, since our main destiny was to ride the road near "Cola de Caballo water fall". I will post it later (don't find it..:cry )

but here are some pics getting up in the hills. All roads were paved, some very bad for cars but heaven for the bikes.

sorry if some are blurr but I was avoiding the pot holes (one hand mom!!)

The sky started looking as if a big storm was ready to fall. But I was thinking... No chance of rain, I checked weather channel last night. But no problem if rains, I have my rainsuit. Hope the others had come prepared...

So as I said, the storm started to show a little bit. I had to take mi camcorder into the topcase (no more video), since rain drops started to fall.

Allan pased me, and little later he faced the curve with small gravel and could not manage it and went straigt forward out of the road. No big deal until he tryied to get out of the bushes and got down.

Right before gettin on the 54 highway, the rain finally got us. We stopped for a while and the lucky ones who had bring along our rainsuits got dressed and we all continued. The weather got cold, plus the wind and wet, the rest of the group with regular jackets were suffering all the way passin Saltillo and up to Monterrey.

    Saludos
