I plan to wire the vest directly to the battery, don't want to hack into the bike's wiring as I have the factory alarm.

    much appreciated

(brought the new bike home today...-20C, won't be riding for a while, so I might as well farkle)

I installed a Blue Sea fuse block in the tail area. I then run all additional electrics from that box. I added 2 always powered BMW outlets up front. One is on the left of the key and the other is in the cowl on the right. This takes care of my usual needs...heated vest and GPS. It still leave the original CanBus outlet for anything else. Sorry, no pics.

Here's one oil filter wrench. $32.95
I remember seeing another one somewhere, too.
I'll look around a little more.

I've collected all the pieces but haven't done the job yet. I will be installing the Centech AP-1 under the top cover. The Centech will be mounted to the air box cover with connectors so you can remove the wires easily for air filter service. Autocom will be fit in between air box and battery in teh small space.

I have installed the fuse panel. I located it under the fake fuel tank right below the ignition so easy access and not to far for wires to run for future accessories. I also replaced my canbus plug in with one that is always hot wired into the fuse panel so I don't have to worry about the low amps of the original canbus and I can plug stuff into it like heated gear, battery tender etc.

    Pic....
