Some of you might be aware that I'm mucking around with the bodywork template myself (in between doing actual real work)... :bluduh

Taking on board comments regarding a stealthy color scheme... Not camo, but a semi blacked out look with a lighter effect over the top. Got me thinking that a zebra skin effect might be cool...
Just to break up the surfaces with a few KTM (like) graphics / logotypes.

Example image has been compressed as it's originally full size so it might loose resolution on here.

    Let's see :)

Does the dotted line mean you have to sew the graphics to the panels?

Well... I fear my "Candy" is at the other (extreme) end of blending matte black into dark grey.

I've just spend hours of cold sweat and swearing like a 90's rapper, to stick those damn large gluey sheets on my 790R...

@a.c.e. that scheme certainly stands out in the crowd! I bet the application of the odd shapes is nerve racking...

Anyone used the LVP rattle cans? (https://www.lvppaints.com/RAL-2009-12-Oz-Touch-Up-Paint.html) I wish the bikes had more orange so I when I get mine, I want to paint the tank covers.

I'm not sure how glossy/matte the paint KTM uses or if the plastic tank covers would need primer for the paint to stick.

That looks nice, although I lean to more black and less orange.

So no lower tank lobe sticker, just like stock? I prefer to have the pattern cascade down from the top of the tank all the way to the bottom lobe as I have seen on several designs.

it will look like this bike on the pictures below

I prefer to have no graphics
    on the tank
it makes them stand out to much,
not something it needs in my opinion.

does anyone know why my pictures don't load correctly through Tapatalk?

I'm thinking that a bit of patterning might break the lines of the lower tank lobes... A bit like 'razzle dazzle' camouflage...
Fork guards are a bitch really as logos have to be flipped to read right when viewed front on and I haven't settled on final alignment with the lower guard mount holes... The sides are easier to deal with.

So this is my first stab at developing a toned down 'Dark' scheme (still, a work in progress), black patterning on a matt dark grey background and limited appearance of brand logos.
Haven't worried about rear plastics as I don't run them and the rear fender is covered by my rack plate.

Ignore all the white lines, they're trim lines (these are much finer at 1:1 scale, my software retains lineweight when scaling down - artwork approx 1/4 scale here).
The areas below the side main panels I'm ignoring as they're way to fiddly and get lost in the oem bodywork convulutions and that area is already black on the 790R anyway, I'll be trimming these off pre-print.

Should look good covered in orange dust / mud :)

    Looks nice man!

One quick point - If it were my bike I would ensure any pieces with stripes were homogenous in scale. IOW's if one piece has fat stripes, and another piece has narrower stripes I would find that detracts from the overall appearance. I love my symmetry. How 'bout you? You seem to.

Ya! Keen eye and good point TT! I do like symmetry... But I fight it all the time.
My experience with such things is that when viewed 'flat' as per artwork posted, it looks a little odd that the pattern varies in thick / thiness 'amplitude'... In real life we see a 3D object as that. Not flat.
The fork guard and tank lobe stripes are % wider than those on the main sides (they're at vision periphery when looking, walking around the bike)... the main sides are the focal point (where the visual mass is)... Finer detail at the focal point.
Who said 'both God and the Devil are in the detail'

I'm sure that sounds like wank.

Stripes can be easlily homogenised, increased in coverage etc :)

I really like that. Pretty close to what I had imagined. My only suggestion would be to add some visual interest to the tank lobes, perhaps by using a large KTM logo - partially obscured because it's larger than the decal, but still recognizable - instead of zebra stripes, but with the same shades of grey.
