Cebu providence on my 2008 Italian made WR250 Husky. This is an example of a spill-over bridge used quite often in the Philippines. The pipes will carry a certain amount of water then the access spills over the top .. Cost effective to some degree but when too much spillage occurs, traffic is blocked. Then comes the bike-friendly walk-over bridge that allows pedestrian and bikes to be ridden across during high water times. Yes, this place is 100% bike friendly here and bikes are allowed to be bikes and not treated like 4-wheel vehicles.
I'll have to count again but I'm thinking there are 3 major rivers here in my area... They snake around so much that once I thought there was a dozen different ones here but I've got the free cycles to trace them out with my GPS. Not too big a deal to trace them from beginning to end really.

Pontoon bridge on Mrežnica river, Karlovac county, Croatia.

The old bridge with water on the deck was more interesting than the new one.
