Is that yours ???
Is that a standard factory machine ???
Incredible....want,want.....(ignoring the spare parts situation).........
Not mine sadly no such luck, i just thought it worth adding to this thread.
A long shot here, but any members own one of these??:eek1
Did not realise they existed unill i found that image.
Picked this heap o' shit up last week relieving me of £195 in the process.
Will I never learn!!!!
Nothing wrong with that MZ at that money in this day and age in the uk, bikes of any kind sell at a premium now.
MZs are the cream of the European utilitarian two stroke tourers in my opinion, never owned one but rode one now and again, one word sums them up for me Underrated .
Here's a few "well used" in western Europe tiddlers...
Sometimes we forget some people still use these as workhorses in other parts of the world...
This one is in mint condition...a Jawa I believe. Can't remember the details the owner relayed to me at the time, thanks to the copious intake of the "vinho tinto"
Here is one done up for touring.
These things seem to run forever...
My cousin in law had a 68 Bultaco, stolen about 71. He bought a 175 Puch enduro which he overstressed a lot.
Then he got a CZ 380 and put lay down shocks on it and terrorized his senior motocross class.
My brother found a CZ 175 from a dealer in the crate. Cousin and I put it together. Brothers wife made him sell it. Yes that one.
I had three Suzuki two strokes in the period, then a BMW. Cousin got his wife and kids on Hodakas, and found a 71 BSA as a street bike.
I did get a ride on a Sachs Wankel bike. And a Yankee.
here's one i put together for racing. not pretty, but racing ain't pretty.
I like maicos i never came across any road bikes over here in the UK.
This is a pity.
I just got this Metralla finished up. I was asked to put in the Euro Moto show in Seattle, so I did. The Mercurio at the beginning belongs to the show promoter and its a very neat unrestored Mercurio that belonged to his father.
Those are beautiful bikes. I really love the Metralla. Great job! I'd like to see some still pic's of it if you have some to upload some here.
Here's my contribution. !980 Montesa VF 414 F, I bought NIB March '81
At an off road area in the No. Georgia mtns
The bike has held up better than the owner/rider has.
The cases have never been split, the head has not been off in 32 years, but I did replace all the oil seals, including the crank seals, about 10 years ago.
Seven pages and just one Jawa?
I just got it yesterday. Looks like nice clean survivor. Needs headlight glass(who knows what else, did not try to start yet)
Anyone has any info on this model? Jawa with CZ 175 engine.Presumably 1960
