Yes it is. I love it! but it does stand off the tank just a bit, which you can see in the last pic. I have put a piece of cloth in there to fill the void, because I'm OCD with pics....

Totally with you on the OCD :)

Bit pi**ed with SWMotec though. Specifically emailed and asked if the bag would fit. They replied to say that the tank ring and bag combination didn’t work with the 1250. Should have asked here first. :)

I quite liked the tapered ‘nose’. It looks good.

I test rode both and went for the gs. The gsa was just a little two heavy for me, plus I like the looks of the standard gs a lot more... of course almost all of my friends tell me both models are butt ugly motorcycles ;-)

You don't even know it's there, except maybe for an otherworldly level of of part throttle control when crawling slooowww. That area of the rpm range below 2500-ish rpm where many bikes are lurchy.. this thing is smooth as butter.

Interesting. Seems the rpm cam action really helps with technical trail with the GS.

I really want to try a set, but my work commute is keeping me from it. I need another set of wheels.

Shinko 804/805 are so cheap I have a hard time justifying the switch...

I’m riding them all the way to Tuktoyaktuk and back, we will see how far I get on them with a loaded bike on and off road. I’m hoping one set up and another set back.

Yup, that was me, heading back to Incline from Reno, where I had Tom install Expel (like clear bra) on the beak, top of gas tank, and top and front of the Bumot boxes. Picked it up Friday morning and rode to Mammoth and back. Sooo smoooth. After reading the reviews on the 1250 GS I decided to sell my ‘09 F800 GS and get one. Now I think I’ll sell my K1300 GT and only have one motorcycle!
