Nice ride and the dealer is just down the road from me.

The service dept. saved my ~4k mile trip 2 weeks ago, before even starting out, when my 1250GS HP threw an ESA error. They are the only shop open on Monday and didn't question me showing up with a bike bought elsewhere. They put it on the computer and fixed it ahead of other things they had scheduled.

Today in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. A wet start, but turned out nice.

IMG_0655.jpg In the driveway. I rode around in the yard yesterday so that's about as off road as I'll be taking it. LOL. Around 1100 miles in a couple weeks and if this heat and my schedule would cooperate it would be much higher. Love this bike so far. My second GSA preceded by a GS before that and this is definitely the best. What an amazing ride.

    question for @Fosters ....

I asked a ton of questions on FB but with these larger pics I have one more. What is the "thing" on your upper crashbar, near the roundel?

That's what I thought but they seemed so high up on the bars to me. Thanks for the clarification. :doh

    Kevin is a great guy.
Do you know any good off road around here for a novice dirt rider? Have not ridden in the dirt for 35 years or so.

I have not done any proper off road. I go up to the forest and do the service roads or find dirt/gravel roads while out riding around.
